5 ★I LOVE this app! I've been using it for a few months now and it has helped tremendously with cooking good on a budget, plus I can try new recipes and keep thinga interesting at home. May I make a suggestion? Perhaps add an option for "meal planning"? One that you can save for the week so you dont have to search for it again? (Though I suddenly realize I could just make a cookbook tab labeled "weekly meals") Bottom line: Highly reccommend this app and have referred friends to this as well!
4 ★I love budget bytes and its nice to conveniently have the app in my pocket. I had a few problems with the fuctionality of the app: 1. Recipes don't stay selected when you switch out of the app. This is frustrating when trying to build a grocery list, ill have to swap back to the BB app and reselect the recipe and scroll down. 2. The recipes are not exactly the same from the website. I've noticed the instructions are not as informative as from the website.
4 ★First off, the recipes are great. Once you figure out the free/marketplace recipe dichotomy, it's not so bad. You'd have to "buy" 30+ marketplace recipes before you might have to spend real money, and we're talking about miniscule amounts of cash here. I find rarely click "start" to use the recipe walkthrough, instead just reading the recipe, but i do like the idea of built in timers at least. Overall, I use the app a lot.
5 ★I love this app, I've never had a bad experience with the recipes I've tried. The recipe videos are super easy to follow and the recipes themselves are simple and (obviously) affordable.
4 ★I like most aspects of the app, and I'm not bothered about paying for certain recipes, the free points each day are more than enough. I do wish though that the app matched the site more closely and that the search function worked at all. you can type in the most important ingredients for a recipe and set the filters all you like, you're still going to have to scroll through every recipe to find the one you're looking for.
5 ★This app will save you every cent that they charge. Get your planning on order with some really interesting and tasty meals.
5 ★Great app. Love the pictures on the step by step instructions. Also super easy to keep multiple cookbooks, I often keep 3 going: what im cooking next week, recipes I'd like to try, and recipes I've made that I'll be having again. You can get texts or emails you ingredients lists. Budget Bytes app has become an essential tool in my weekly meal planning.
1 ★I've used Budget Bytes' website for years, and absolutely adore it. This makes it so heartbreaking to see how predatory this app is. I happily dropped a couple of bucks on downloading it- I used her recipes so many times I was happy to give back a bit, so I didn't give it a second thought. Once in however, I filtered the recipes to add some to my list and didn't see some of my favorites. I searched for one manually, and was told I would have to pay more for many recipes. A disgusting letdown.
4 ★Needs weekly planner and "add to shopping list" rather than email shopping list. It would he nice to have 4-5 recipes in mind for a week, put them on a weekly plan and be able to add all/some of the ingredients to one shopping list in app. The breakdown of the recipe and real time instructions are nice. I'm glad there is a step by step and full written version, and when you adjust the number of servings the step by step quantaties change too.
5 ★Have been following budget bytes for years now... My main go-to recipe blog. The app is so streamlined and awesome, really cool cooking assistance features. Was happy to give them a few dollars for access!
5 ★This is by far my favorite recipe app. As a registered dietitian with a busy work life, I rather appreciate the simplistic ingredients, detailed directions, and the nutritionals on most of these recipes. The app is very intuitive to us; it allows the right degree of customization. Every recipe I've tried so far has been delicious. I actually recommend the app to many of my patients!
3 ★The app had an update and now I can't see the store to look at more recipes. My profile is blank and now I'm not even able to add recipes to my existing cookbooks. Not that I'd be able to access them since my profile is blank. I really love this app, but I also paid for it and I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. New update soon? Pre-update: I LOVED this app. Totally worth the cost. I love the videos, the cooking timers, all of the photos. (this is the only reason why I did not give this app just a one star rating.) Thankfully I still have access to these functions.
