Description

PlanMyRoute is a route planner that helps you create routes anywhere in the world. Using the app you can plan a route before you go running, road cycling, mountain biking or explore trails on hike.

Plan your Customized Route
Wherever you want to explore an area, plan hikes, or simply walk around, it’s very easy to plan routes in the map and visually follow the path. From the main route planner screen, you can simply type in the location you want to go or even more conveniently use your fingers to draw a route across the map. Once the route is drawn in the map, it will show you useful information such as the distance in Km or Miles. Finally, save the map routes in your profile and you will be able to do the same route any day, ideal for running routines.

A-B Mode
Loved by many of the users, the route planner has an A-B mode, which allows which lets you pick a start and end location (along with any waypoints across the path), and then select one of the suggested routes that are calculated automatically. This way you can always choose the route you prefer, and find the best way to cross the map.

Maps
Another great feature that was requested by users was the ability to choose between different types of maps. PlanMyRoute route planner comes with multiple maps to suite different activities, such as “normal” which shows the classic map style, “satellite” which shows the map from a satellite view, “cycling” which makes the map easier for cycling and “hiking” that as the name suggests, it is meant for hiking routes.

Choose your route based on the extra information
To help you have a better understanding of your upcoming adventure, the route planner provides extra information about your route.

Currently this includes:
• Road Surface: it shows if the road is paved or unpaved to better understand if its suitable for walking.
• Road Type: it shows what type of road is, such as street, path or major road if for example you want to avoid car traffic or want to ride the bike.
• Elevation profile across your route: This helpful info will help you know whether you need to prepare for hills or not.
• Elevation gain & elevation loss: How much elevation will this route or lose?
• Activity duration: simple but essential information about how long the activity is going to take.

Snap to road
When using the route planner in draw mode to draw out your route, you might find it difficult to draw a route that sticks to the roads and trails. However, with the “Snap to road” feature it will allow you to automatically adjust your hand-drawn routes so that they are aligned along the right roads and trails on your route. This way you will be able to track any footpath or running routes, and map any cycling or hiking roads with no sweat!

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★I paid for the premium version because I wanted elevation information. The elevation it calculated for my run was 900 feet less than what my Suunto watch said, and my watch has proven itself accurate in the past. Putting in the route is also cumbersome-- way more so than Google maps pedometer. And why can't you set it to miles instead of km?
5 ★Exactly what I wanted. I have been stuck trying to use google maps to find out how many miles my run would be. This app made my life so much easier! I would 100% recommended this app for running beginers like me. It helps.
1 ★Wants to charge me for basic features Right after the 10 second tutorial, like the "auto-road align" that aligns what you drew on the map with actual roads on the map. I can't even draw my lines on the map correctly cause of sausage fingers so that feature is handy dandy but you wanna charge me for it? I'm good. Deleted already.
5 ★I have been using this app to find new routes for my runs and walks based on the distance that I want to go. It has been quite accurate in terms of distance and it is easy enough to draw it out using the draw tool. I am using the free version at this time.
1 ★Listen, guys, the only think that most people want from it is to set START, FINISH (mostly the same place) + distance to run. And get a nice route. What I get, if I try to do this? Nothing. Have you ever tried running? I guess no. Otherwise you'd know that you could throw away all the functions and leave only one described above.
5 ★Ace app. I can adjust my pace, snap routes to road and paths and can therefore see how long something takes before I set out. I do a lot of walking and training for ultra marathons, so finding new routes is essential for mixing things up a bit. Thanks!
1 ★My review was deleted within seconds of raising an issue, so here goes a second one. Can't plan any routes in the free version any more, satellite view has been removed so I can't plan a route around a trail that isn't visible on other view modes. App is now completely unusable so I'm deleting it.
1 ★Clunky and didn't save routes. Really hard to draw up a route to follow. App kept crashing such a shame and waste of money would like a refund. Spent £5 to unlock the 'extra' features and un-installed it cause its so stressful to try and use.
1 ★Hi I am not happy! I paid to have the app upgraded so that the route I planned could be exported into Google maps. All it wants to export is an image of the route not the actual route. $8.49 is a really expensive upgrade for it to not work. I would like a full refund please.
3 ★I use Android Q beta and I discovered that this app was trying to steal banking information. I received a toast notification saying that fraudulent activity had been blocked. Be aware. I will remove my comment if I discover that the message is coming from another application. The toast notification went away immediately after I force closed the application and has not came back since I uninstalled the app. Don't install.
4 ★Okay so far, although I plotted a route of 7.4 miles and my Garmin reported differently. Very easy to 'draw'. When you use the A to B option, the road names are obscured. I'm a bit old fashioned, I like to plan a route on my device then write down the directions on paper ( so I can carry minimum tech) Shame you can't browse the map area whilst drawing but the zoom in/out is a little useful
3 ★Nice app. But on longer runs you can run out of way points. You can still generally measure distance. However if you then want to actually run the route you can use it to track where you are.
