Description

The project is no longer followed by the 2 developers, we leave the application downloadable on the store, but may not work on the latest versions of Android.

★ DNSet *DOES NOT* require ROOT privileges to run.
★ DNSet works both on Wi-Fi and 3G.
★ WARNING: the app may not work properly on Android 4.4.x(1,2,3) due to a known system bug which we are not responsible for. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
★This app work fine on Android 4.4.4This app works fine on Android 4.4.4★

DNSet sets Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) on your device. In order to do this it creates a local VPN so you have to authorise the app once. The app quits after the VPN has been initialised, this saves space on your device's precious RAM memory.

Avoiding the ISP's DNS may help in:

* Bypassing restrictions on certain websites
* Speeding up your browsing experience

DNSet is able to start automatically at boot time. Enable the 'auto start' checkbox and a notification will appear every time you turn on your device. Just click on the notification, authorise the app et voilà, Google's DNS servers will be in use.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

4 ★For whatever reason, WiFi speeds on my gs6 were abysmal while my lte/4g was working fine. Used this app to change to Google dns, now my WiFi is back up to speed on my gs6. Only issues I have is that it seems to time out after a few minutes. Closing it seems to not work, even when going through running apps. It would be nice if the key icon was invisible while this thing is running. Other than that, I have full wifi speed on my gs6.
5 ★If your new galaxy is crawling on wifi even though speed tests are fine, download this app. You also may want to turn on developer options and use legacy DHCP. For some reason android is having ipv6 issues, so it fails back to ipv4. That's why your wifi works and your bandwidth is fine but your phone is slow. Thanks dnset!
4 ★It definitely gets my connection working smoothly. My only complaint is that it randomly turns itself off all the time, even though I have it set to auto start. So, when I see I'm getting nowhere on my browser, I know I have to go to the app and start it again.
5 ★I never review apps but I felt like I needed to with DNSet. Lollipop screwed my phone up along with many others and my biggest complaint was the Wi-Fi was slow and I couldn't receive notifications while on Wi-Fi, thanks to this app that is FIXED. THANK YOU DNSet.
5 ★I recently upgraded to an LG G4 with t-mobile and was wondering if it was my phones fault that everything was so slow. But it turns out it wasn't and this app helped me a lot. Web pages now load in an instant and I don't have to wait 30 seconds for my twitter feed to load. Thank you!
3 ★The sole reason why I'm using this is due to the Lollipop x Comcast bug. The bug makes Comcast IPv6 WiFi slow to a crawl. This app temporary fixes that by forcing the WiFi to IPv4. BUT in doing so prevents me receiving legible text and calls becomes the new problem. Which seems like an easy fix. Just turn the app off BUT there is no off button. Thus making me resort to restarting my phone everytime. I would not recommend this for phone users BUT would recommend it to tablet users.
5 ★I got a new Moto G running Android Lollipop and ran into the WiFi problems that nearly every Lollipop user has suffered. I tried everything: clearing my cache partition, changing the channel on my router, and nothing worked. This app, though, worked, and now, finally, my WiFi is fast, like it should be.
3 ★Lots of controversy over whether and how much browsing data this app collects. Seems fishy that there is no off switch. Developers should really address this issue. I won't recommend until issues addressed.
4 ★I've been burning through my data I had comcast come out change all my wires and even went up to the Verizon store. Now that I have this app my Wi-Fi is back to the way it was before the big upgrade.
5 ★Finally able to connect to the WiFi at work. This fixed my lag in processing websites. Very please with the app so far. Going to watch how if affects battery life, but right now.. Very pleased with this app!
5 ★Got my new LG G4 and my wifi experience was a total disaster, the only solution I saw was to keep resetting the router - which is stupid - and then this app was in the search results. Wow! Lightning speed, like old times!
4 ★I have been having problems with certain apps not connecting to WiFi but fine over 3G/4G. I heard about this on a forum and I am very happy so far! Only rating 4 stars as I haven't had it long and I am unsure if it will be a permanent fix.
