How to install DiCa APK on Android phone or tablet?

Download DiCa APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

Update Phone Settings

Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK

Go to Downloads

Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (cool.mixi.dica-v0.2.2-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

5 ★This app is amazing, especially considering it is all built voluntarily and in such a short time! It is an app that gives access to the Friendica network, my favourite social network, and the network of the future (together with others in the federation). Responsive app developer too, open to improvements and suggestions. The app works as expected, everything (feeds, posting) works well.

4 ★I like the clean simplicity of this app and am using with Friendica on the Nerdica server. Up till today all worked fine but now DiCa is displaying uploaded images just as a basic kind of red 'No Entry' sign. So can't give it the 5 stars I was going to give now. The images were uploaded from DiCa and look fine in web browsers, both on laptop and on mobile phone.... Maybe Jason can help!? :)

Will let know details of me experience after using the app for a while. Liked the friendly and helping attitude of the developer. Great attitude. 5 ★Simple,yet so effective! Only wish for two items, I could switch to gederated timeline. And if I wanted to save an image or video I could ling press and save. Away from that I still give 5 as its so fluid to catch up in events and get the basics done! Good Job!

5 ★Minimalist, but gets things done. Having tried other Friendica and GNU Social clients, this is the only one that works with no fuss. There are some Twitterism - retweet should be share - and missing permission features, and I can't manage my contacts via the app yet but so far so good

5 ★bug fixed! Please add ability to post to forums, i.e. automatically insert a tag in format !"forum name". A list of forums should show up in profile contacts.

4 ★I would like to let you know the networks tab shows all the post but not my saved searchings; are you planning to add this feature in the next releases or is it a bug?

3 ★When I try to login it fails with the message "temporary unable to use (Handshake failed)".
