1 ★My other games keep getting interrupted by your tacky video advert which features amateurish acting, bad editing with poor transitions on the audio, words inaudible from slow fade-ins when the audio of each scene begins, terrible recording of the vocals using what sounds like a phone microphone has been used from a distance, lots of background noise, men eating with the table manners of pigs, patronising descriptions of the app... the list goes on. I wish there was a way to block your adverts.
1 ★App "can't connect to the server" since forced update 🙄
1 ★Used to be able to see lots of deals on one screen. Now it wastes a whole screen just to see 3 deals. Come on HUKD, phone screens are getting bigger and clearer, not smaller and grainier. Hi e us back the compact view. As a protest, I no longer click the deal link any more, do HUKD does not receive my referral money.
4 ★Very useful, intuitive & performant app. My only criticism is that it's all too easy to accidentally give heat/cold to a deal, i.e. mistap, seemingly with no way to undo. IMHO, one of the few apps where the experience is better on mobile than on desktop!
1 ★Used to open Amazon links straight to the app, but this recently stopped working which is a bit of a hassle. Found a few decent deals. Far too many "account specific check your email" deals, which is the equivalent of saying that a pizza flyer came though the door and asking people to check their letterbox. 🙄 Also the amount of Pokémon Go deals is too much, items which are free anyway are not a deal
1 ★No compact view. Rubbish now. Edit. Your explanation doesn't cut it. Each deal takes too much space. And it is now much slower to use. Obviously too much data gathering going on in the background to bother loading the pictures for the deals. Used to be slick, now tedious.
2 ★One big frustration I have with the app is the share links are specific to the app. So if you share a deal with a friend or family, instead of taking them to the HotUKDeals webpage with the deal, it instead prompts them to download the app, meaning they give up. So I have to get the link from the website every time I want to share a deal. Instead, the share links should take you to the website, with the option of opening in the app if you have it, like most apps/sites do.
3 ★Good in some ways, very annoying in others. The app has come a long way, but still on a Samsung Note9 it gets very confused when you've minimised it then try to go back - half the time the app isn't there, the other half it's refreshed back to the homepage so it's forgotten where you were or what comment you'd been typing. They also do far too many push notifications for fast food companies - makes you feel as though you're being advertised to, and from some of the worst companies on the planet
1 ★HAve to update every week or so! Every time when using need to click on update available pop up. Terrible.
3 ★Useless filters that need setting each time
3 ★Great app in most ways but recently seems to have changed so that the Share links are not simple links to the HUKD webpage for the deal, but rather a weird link that can only be opened in the app, so it's harder to share deals with people who don't have the app because the link from Share just takes them to the Play store to download the app. Please bring back the proper sharing with the HUKD website link so I don't have to open deals in my browser to be able to share them properly.
1 ★Terrible display of alerts. Every alert is preceded by unnecessary text "One new deal matches your keyword", followed by the actual information about the deal which isn't displayed properly like it was in the past, because the unnecessary text took all the space. I stopped using the app for this reason and this is the real way to save money.
