Komando Resort Militer 091/Aji Surya Natakesuma atau Korem 091/ASN merupakan satuan Teritorial yang berada di bawah kendali Komando Daerah Militer VI/Mulawarman. Korem 091 dibentuk pada 11 November 1980, dengan markas di Tarakan. Nama Korem ini diambil dari nama seorang raja Kerajaan Berau, yaitu Raden Aji Surya Natakesuma putra kepala pemerintahan di Sungai Lati bernama Nini Barito. Daerah dan wilayah kekuasaan Raden Aji Surya Natakesuma meliputi Kabupaten Berau dan Kabupaten Bulungan, serta Kalimantan Utara sampai perbatasan Negara Brunei.Raden Aji Surya Natakesuma adalah seorang Sultan yang berhasil menampilkan suatu kepemimpinan, di bidang pemerintahan dan sosial yang menyentuh denyut kehidupan rakyatnya. Dengan kepribadiannya yang disegani rakyatnya dan kerajaan tetangganya pada waktu itu, maka Raden Aji Surya Natakesuma dapat mempersatukan kedua daerah yaitu Berau dan Bulungan, kedalam suatu wadah yang memungkinkan berkembangnya pemerintahan yang adil dan berdaulat.
