Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset har i uppdrag att vara Stockholms läns landstings universitetssjukhus med särskilt ansvar för specialiserad och högspecialiserad sjukvård. Traumacentrum Karolinska (TCK) är länets och regionens enda mottagande enhet för svårt skadade. Vårt upptagningsområde omfattar cirka 2,5 miljoner individer med cirka 1800 traumafall per år (1500 vuxna; 300 barn), varav drygt 300 patienter är mycket svårt skadade. I Traumacentrums organisation ingår 14 specialiteter inom Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset. Till denna är ett FoUU-råd för trauma kopplat med representanter från de olika specialiteterna med särskilt intresse och kompentens för utbildning och forskning.Vår mobilapp är till för att ge en inblick i traumaomhändertagandet under det första dygnet. Innehållet är baserat på beprövade erfarenheter hos författarna som medverkar inom FoUU-rådet TCK och utgör en vägledning i traumaomhändertagandet utan avsikt att vara heltäckande.
