1 ★My phone provider (TextNow) does not accept SMS verification code and since I change my phone I am not able to login to the Roost App anymore. It tries to verify my account by sending a SMS to a phone number that do not accept SMS and there is no other verification method (email) available. This is very frustrating.

1 ★Difficult to set up

1 ★Got two water leak detectors from my insurance company. One works fine and the other was almost impossible to set up initially. It malfunctioned the first time it detected water and kept beeping and wouldn't reset. I had to pull the batteries. When I tried to put the batteries back in it I had to give up trying to connect it back to wifi. The set up process is just garbage. The "contact support“ button on the settings page goes to a website that doesn't connect to support, it just says "oops."

1 ★I don't think the people behind this product ever talked to a real human being while developing it. It's a good idea but the app is so terrible. I can't believe my insurance company is partnering with them. Makes me rethink my insurance provider because no sanely run business would choose to link their reputation to a product as painful to use as this.

3 ★Started my setup,Canada desjardin insuranse, the app is very minimaliste but seems to do what it is supposed to do. Not very intuative to use but doable. What i find weird is that you cant buy door sensors anywhere ?

1 ★Ridiculously complicated!

1 ★Everything was fine; did a factory reset on my phone; roost app will not let me sign back in. It keeps telling me "User cannot be updated", but I'm not updating anything. I tried to create a new account and it said the exact same thing.

1 ★App appeared to install correctly. Water sensing device, however would not complete connection process.

5 ★giving 6 beeps now (no changes with the wifi settings), won't connect anymore to the wifi network Update 8/22: contacted support and there was a firmware update last year which the device did not receive apparently. They shipped a replacement unit and that is working ok so far.

1 ★Switched phone number, and now they want me to create a new account with a new email address. So I need to create a new email address for just this one service. Ridiculous.
