Awal tahun 2000 an, kami sudah edan keris, hampir setiap hari usai pulang kerja atau di hari Minggu kami kumpul di Pasar Setonobetek Kota Kediri, yakni pasar keris satu-satunya yang ada di Kediri. Sambil ngopi , ngobrol banyak hal menunggu para hunter membawa barang (istilah penyebutan pemburu keris,red) , kami mengisi kegiatan dengan membahas tangguh dan dapur keris yang biasannya kami bawa dari rumah.Hingga akhirnya , akhir tahun 2010 kami berkeinginan membentuk sebuah wadah paguyuban, agar pembahasan-tentang keris semakin gayeng dan bisa lebih action terhadap hobi ini. Proses ini memakan waktu, selain latar belakang pekerjaan , beberapa pertimbangan lainnya mulai menghadang, yakni tentang penamaan hingga penentuan logo paguyuban. Persiapan ini memakan waktu kurang lebih 6 bulan lebih, karena muncul berbagai perdebatan. Titik temunya adalah memberi nama paguyuban dengan nama Raja Kediri yang masyhur yakni Cri Maharaja Sang Mapanji Jayabhaya Cri Warmecwara Madhusudanawataranandita Sukktsingha Parakrama Digjayotunggadewanama, yang memerintah sekitar tahun 1057-1080 Caka (1135-1158).
