4 ★The app is awesome. I wish they would release a case a week or more for the price. The one thing I wish is that you wouldn't be penalized for choosing one med over another. For example in the stemi case the patient is in cardiogenic shock. Dopamine is actually the preferred pressor for cardiogenic shock, but the game only gives you credit if you give levophed. It's a small complaint.
5 ★This is awesome! So much learning!
3 ★From running through the demo, this app looks really good. However, the annual subscription price is far too expensive. I would be fine with a small contribution to help development costs, but when similar apps (like Prognosis) are completely free, then you're hardly encouraging people to use your app as part of their CPD. Such a shame ....
4 ★Very good VERY VERY GOOD. However, only 4 stars as I have no medical background and selected that option. Although there's a short tutorial, it doesn't explain what is what. Maybe an update explaining what drug does what would be good. Even if it's just a little option (or a ? Link) at the side of the drug name or diagnosis option. That you can press. Tried to find a drug to lower a HR and ended up putting it to 225BPM lol. Just a thought.
4 ★The only thing keeping you from 5 stars is a lack of educational material within the app, it'd really help to read up on some things before tackling a case.
3 ★I like this app as a platform for case studies. Although, I tried to upgrade to the pro version for additional rationals and there is a permanent error that would allow that to happen. However, the basic version works for what I need. I just wish I had the access to all those pro scenarios! It would be nice if there was similar app/version more geared toward nurses rather than playing the provider.
4 ★Awesome app. My only issue is that it gives you no rational at the end of each case. Since certain cases are free it would make sense to give explanations for those ones that way people have a general idea of what they will get with the paid version, even if the details are not fully revealed. Great app tho, gets you thinking.
5 ★I like it a lot, installed it yesterday... I think a bit expensive subscription fee for a month but a beautiful UI/UX and very good case library. If you can give option for metric/imperial system units (eg. Temperature : C/F) 11/10: Today's update made the app restart after going to background which means u lose progress of the case. Please fix! 12/10:(update) Everything seems fine, thank you!
3 ★It keeps loading I don't know why?
3 ★Good scenarios and accurate info. Don't think this is a good game for an lay person unless they have a lot of medical knowledge. I'm an ER trained healthcare professional so it was pretty simple for me. Not enough scenarios for free and not worth paying for pro unless you're trying to complete your residency in Emergency Medicine.
5 ★I absolutely love this app. It is very educational and makes learning a difficult subject fun. I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in medical treatments even if you are not a student or professional because the skill settings allow you to learn by doing. Hint for the other non med school peeps - click on the nurse often and take notes, the simulator will teach you.
5 ★Fairly comprehensive breakdown of handling emergency cases, with detailed explanations of why given interventions and management are recommended individual to each case. Though international medics should be warned that the recommendations are very American - if I asked for a bedside ultrasound or a BNP in the emergency department (let alone trying to make a specialist tertiary referral) I'd be laughed out of the room. Overall good quality and worth the subscription!
