Description

This is a convenient launcher for Google Maps Navigation, similar to the "Navigation" launcher included in Google Maps.

Nav Launcher has all the same important features as the default Navigation launcher app, such as:

-Quick access to contacts, starred contacts, and favorites
-Easy entry of a typed or spoken address
-A history of where you've gone before

However, Nav Launcher makes it easier to access all of these, and allows you to set two Quick Favorites, for frequent destinations (such as "Home" or "Work").

If you always want a certain screen to start up (such as Contacts, Favorites, or History), then you can customize it to do exactly that! Nav Launcher can even launch itself whenever you place your phone in a car dock.

1 ★Update is terrible want the old version back. There seems yo nor no way to get rid of all the newly added junk. The old one could be used without looking at the screen..this version horrible

4 ★I like the ease of selecting contacts to insert as a destination and the history. Frequently, I am provided with addresses for sales calls through Outlook Web Application to my smart phone. Normally, I click on the address and it launches Google Maps on and then I go through the process of selecting routes, etc. What would be nice, is to have this app detect the addresses I go to through OWA and store that as history...that will get you the extra star! Thanks.

3 ★Liked app better before update. Takes forever to load. And yesterday took me out of the way.. old better new stinks

2 ★Why did this Navi system just disappear from my homepage, then when I re-install it has some history still. If this is what happens during an update I don't like it!!! It disappeared just when I needed it last night. The old version got me across country. Can U bring it beam it back Scotty?! Then when U add a contact pic it stops. WTF!?

2 ★I had navigator running on my Samsung galaxy S2 and it was great. This version on my Tab 3 somehow doesn't give me a proper satnav view. It just follows on google maps and though the voice directions work I keep taking wrong turnings. Sorry Google I just don't understand how I get one of your latest handset and the software is worse? Very disappointing I am now using mapfactor navigator instead which I tried in Greece and works fine like a satnav should

3 ★Loved the old app and this one! But seriously there are a lot or glitches in the maps. My maps are constantly glitching up and freezing

3 ★It starts out good, but you have a hard time finding the street in your part of the country if there's other streets with the same name in other states. You also have a hard time adding and deleting waypoints. On the good side, the GPS function keeps up with you better than a regular dedicated GPS. It's accurate within feet as opposed to yards on a regular GPS. Make it easier to delete and create waypoints, and be able to accept gpx waypoints and you'll have a 5 star here. As it stands I only give it 3 stars.

4 ★This app is not ur old launcher. GOOGLE did an update that removed the launcher shortcut from the app tray. Navigation can now only be reached by opening maps and clicking on nav. This guys app is just a shortcut LIKE the old google launcher....

2 ★You took away the ability to avoid tolls. Why? Why would you do such a thing.

3 ★Great idea. I love the simplicity. It's very similar to the old Google maps that I miss so much. Thank you for creating this. There are still a few bugs but it looks great so far!
