The pioneering Android overclocking utility “Afterburner APP” was co-developed by MSI and well-known software programmer "Nick Connors". The new Afterburner utility allows the Android-based smartphones and tablets to adjust or monitor Afterburner settings on PC over a Wi-Fi connection. In addition to monitoring the temperature, voltage and fan speed, the utility can also be used for overclocking and overvoltaging!
Quick installation guide:
Before you want to test MSI Afterburner APP on Android Phone/tablet, you will need:
1. A windows xp sp3 (with .NET 2)/vista/7 system with a discrete graphics card and is able to connect to internet/intranet.
2. An android cellphone or tablet has wifi function. (the O/S should be higher v2.1)
3. The system and cellphone or tablet can connect to each other over internet or intranet.
“RemoteServer” is a utility which should be placed in the system. Just make sure all files are under in the same folder.
“MSIAfterburner.apk” is an app which should be installed in Android cellphone or tablet.
Make sure the system has installed the afterburner 2.1.0 or above version, and it has to be started so RemoteServer can read the H/W status through it.
How to work - Step by step:
1. Put the folder for RemoteServer on desktop for easy access
2. Run Afterburner (2.1.0 or above version)
3. Run "MSIAfterburnerRemoteServer.exe" to open up the RemoteServer
4. Verify that the remoteServer is running in background
5. Run Afterburner APP on Android cellphone or tablet
6. Enter the system IP (you can find ip over RemoteServer) into the IP settings of Afterburner APP to make a connection of Afterburner APP and Remote Server.
7. If the monitoring and OC funtions work properly, now it's time to enjoy it!
BTW, each clock/voltage/fan adjustment over afterburner app, you will have to press "apply"!

How to install MSI Afterburner APP APK on Android phone or tablet?

1 ★App doesn't work. There isn't an "apply" button to confirm the settings. Backing out reverts to the original settings. Once again, not confirmation so there is literally no point for the overclocking tab. Useless
3 ★At its core, it does what it is designed to do. Only used the monitoring function, didn't try the overclocking (no desire to). Display output for monitoring is okay, but the fonts could be larger. RemoteServer package should come with a FAQ or README file in order to provide users pointers when something isn't initially working. Having to tweak Windows Firewall to swap network traffic permission on intranet and internet should be documented. RemoteServer should default to monitoring or have the security key be randomly generated upon first-run. Both the app and RemoteServer software should not have the same security ID set as default -- imposes security risk in rogue users maliciously killing hardware. Please update the app to address these issues. For now, rating at 3/5.
5 ★it's working, nice to see it and it's fun. While ingame i can watch the temps and adjust it Maybe an update to fix some problems
3 ★It's a great remote app but I can't apply a overclock command to the host because I'm using Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini, which don't have a feature to do that. So please make an update to have a menu on the screen? It will be great!

4 ★Hi app works great just one thing I want from it.........a settings button because my Galaxy S7 does not have one so I can't overclock or adjust fan speeds from app. Otherwise nice app thumbs up!!!
5 ★App works exactly as stated, very handy for monitoring gpu stats away from my g19 keyboard readout such as gaming on my tv with a controller. ****NOTE in order to get this app working I had to open a port in windows firewall, just adding the remote server exe itself as an allowed connection was not enough. I also configured my own security key and made sure it was set to the correct ip and port of my desktop (assume anyone with common sense would do this last part anyway). Works both on my HTC One X+ and my asus transformer (in particular I appreciated that I can run it in landscape mode on my tablet as like most people I never use a 10 inch tab in portrait mode)
5 ★Excellent app, I'm always forgetting to apply settings after starting a game. Had to add a firewall rule manually to get it to work. Port 82!
1 ★tried opening ports, changing security setting adding exceptions and nada. I have other telemetry apps which needed a bit of configuring which work fine so this is a duffer.
1 ★You have ant+, BT, and Wi-Fi l to make it work without port forwarding, make it so.
4 ★Needs to be able to switch profiles and needs an updated look. Works perfect other than that. To get the server to run on startup, make a shortcut of the server exe and put it in your startup folder.
