4 ★Overall this is a good app. It quickly mapped a number of IR controllers for some led candles lights and a electric fire and worked with Alexa for them. But when I tried to map my Samsung TV it recognised all the controls but Alexa voice control can only switch it on and off . Alexa sees the device but can't adjust volume nor chanels which is dissapointing
1 ★Ihc for europe and the other ich app have soooo many bugs in it i can't begin to list them all. Major compatibility issues with google home redering the system unusable. (Two hours on the phone to Google Home technical support who were very helpful, but unable to fix the problem as it is down to the awful ihc software) Hardware is a great bit of kit, but let down and rendered useless by poor software.
1 ★This app can't see my RM MINI 3. In e-link app everything works fine. But this app cannot see universal remote. It asks me to reset device. I done it few times and it doesn't appears in my devices. Who the hell needs 2 apps to control a single device? In what universe u need soany permissions to run a simple app? This is the worst app experience that I have ever experienced in my life.
1 ★I purchased two mini pro's last week set them up using IHC app on the phone all works fine, now i go to set up the alexa skill and it keeps telling me there is an error with my login details.......no there isn't............so frustrating not to be able to use alexa, that was the whole point of buying the mini 3's................very disapointed. Will have to save up for a harmony.............gutted.
1 ★If this was supposed to be the next level app compared to e-control, it fails all the way. Not being able to use the learned remote control codes, that work with e-control, makes the app entirely useless. Will consider adding more stars to it only if it matches e-control features.
1 ★More Broadlink Trash .. No EU/UK support !!! I only bought this for the Amazon Alexa support " which it is falsely advertised as supporting. This software is not fit for purpose rendering the hardware useless for anyone wanting voice control... Do not buy thier products !! Latest update 31/10/18 killed the app totally ! Will not even open ... Broadlink ... you are a joke ! :D
1 ★Initial set up ok for IR and RF but will not support RF plug sockets via Alexa. Operates all devices via phone but very disappointed. Broadlink need to sort software issues and address Alexa skills. In hindsight Would rather have spent a bit more cash and got Samsung smart things starter pack as my first home automation venture.
5 ★I took a risk based on reviews to get a broadlink universal remote... what can I say? It works fine, both on the app with Alexa and the hardware. Controls tv and rf plugs without issue. I guess whatever problems people have been having have been fixed.
1 ★EU version doesn't allow Amazon Alexa access to RF devices making the Broadlink device very limited to the point of being useless. Do not buy if you are using UK or EU Amazon and want to have control over any RF devices. It's best to avoid altogether until this is fixed.
1 ★Hi. I have a broadlink rm pro+ device. I would like to store and save my device settings to prevent loosing all my setup during a reset. Is it possible to save and backup RF devices universal remotes or only IR devices can be back up 2. Question How can i change the wifi network without reseting the rm pro+? I have changed my router and i would like to add my rm pro to my new network without resetting it and loosing all my settings? I didnt find a menu for "network settings" at IHC EU
1 ★Set up devices in broadlink app but cant see them in google. Google home integration not working in ihc either. When selecting rm4 pro, error: failed to download resources. With remotes set up through ihc or broadlink app, any button pressed shows error: script error. Have discovered can set up a scene per button click and run each scene though google home. Really not what i expected when i purchased :(
4 ★Account information is confusing as QR code provided with device links to IHC, while Amazon only accepts input from IHC for EU. Works well eventually when you ignore the QR code and download IHC EU directly. Summary: Good device, works well, set-up is a hassle.
