1 ★Woke up this morning and suddenly Surfshark can't connect to any server! It gets stuck at 35% every time I try to connect to any server. I have had to bypass Surfshark completely to get to the internet. Samsung did a security update last night, but the Surfshark interface looks totally different too, so it also updated. Someone else has reported their connections stuck at 35% too, so I know I'm not alone.
4 ★Honestly, this app works very well. A little too well, maybe. I'm having this issue with the locations. If I switch to a server location like Japan, or any location that has a primary language other than English for that matter, it changes my device language. I don't get how that makes sense here because my location may change but that doesn't mean my device language should. Please help me with that issue. 5/5 stars from me, other than that problem.
1 ★After the first week I had minor issues connecting to the VPN. Now it just doesn't work at all and it's been almost 2 months now. Support told me to DL OpenVPN instead which I did and this didn't fix the problem. It probably made things worse. Support is very responsive in replying but they offer no help at all. They credited me with an extra month of service but I would rather have this work instead. Already paid and downloaded ladder VPN which has been working very well.
3 ★I have for the most part liked the app, however the connect to the fastest location option feature has stopped working properly the last 2 updates, & now only connects to essential my real or closest location even if there are faster locations available. It's bad enough I have to disconnect the VPN to FIND the fastest location, but now it doesn't even connect to it without my manually doing so. Otherwise pretty good as I am always on open WiFi networks.
1 ★Absolutely awful app. Never works properly, every time I think I have bad cell signal or slow wifi, I switch off surfshark and everything loads smoothly. None of the "tech support" tips from Miles down there fix anything, their service is simply slow and unreliable. They WILL NOT under any circumstances refund your money. That's all I wanted. I'm using proton, it's free and works. Don't waste your time with this app! They also tried to charge my card TWICE after I turned auto renew OFF, thieves
3 ★Don't think I am renewing my subscription. Speed issues with this VPN and it seems to love the New York server.. I also have an issue with it closing out when an update is needed. You can keep the VPN running, just let us know. Closing it out 100% is NOT cool. Other than that, it used to be good. What happened? I use this for my PC and phone.
1 ★Turning on kill switch doesn't work at all. The kill switch doesn't work at all. I get notifications even when the VPN is not connected and kill switch is turned on from android too. It makes me mad evertime I switch network and come back to old one. It never connects automatically instead it says you are offline but internet is working . It takes 10 to 30 minutes to reconnect by restarting and check if it connects.Free vpns works far better than this. I am not going to renew.
3 ★Made the right call to never commit on long term contract with these VPN companies without giving them a month or two of trial runs. I tried the top 6 VPN providers and generally fine with Surfshark. Anyway, I'm going back to the very first VPN I tried a couple of months back since it has almost no issues with Whatsapp even though it's slightly more expensive. Interruptions are an ongoing affair and almost impossible to do video calls with Surfshark on. That's a deal breaker for me, sadly.
3 ★So Surfshark is pretty good, I had no problems with it while I lived in the US. Once I got a job in China however, (where you desperately need a VPN) it stopped working reliably. It'd connect fine, disconnect then never connect again. Only a few connections worked (my go to was always Vietnam). But yeah after about 9 months of Surfshark being incredibly unreliable I decided to stop using it. Like I said, it's good if you live in the US, but if you live in China don't waste your time or money.
1 ★Surfshark on its face appears to be good but there are some issues here. Their speeds are terribly slow, to the point that loading anything online is not a pleasant experience. Additionally, Nord acquired surfshark in 2022, so they are no longer a fully separate entity, which raises concerns.
1 ★Scammy... I needed a secure connection for a week overseas and the app worked as expected, but even though I picked the one month option, and received a confirmation email that the subscription was ending after one month they kept charging my credit card the most expensive monthly subscription they offer for 6 more months! I just noticed and asked them to reimburse the months I didn't use the service at all and they refused even after I sent them screenshots where the subscription ended...
1 ★It worked well for years, I'm even paid up till '25. But now it is something that in no way resembles Surfshark. It forces me to default to a little town in VA. Doesn't even recognize major US cities. I haven't been able to use it for weeks. I hate that. It won't even let me log in, urging me to set up a new PW. They use "favourite instead of favorite, like it did before. What's going on? I miss my SurfsharkVPN!
