The Rand McNally DriverConnect app allows users to:• log duty statuses
• view engine metrics
• upload Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) and fuel receipts
• store location information of the route driven during a trip
• communicate with fleet personnel
• generate inspection report for safety officials
The Hours of Service (HOS) timers are visually represented together with logbook graph charts and gauges. The app provides helpful engine metrics collected by the Electronic Logging Device (ELD). The ELD plugs into a truck’s diagnostic port. The ELD sends the data collected from the engine to the app over a Bluetooth connection. The engine metrics displayed as gauges include: average fuel economy, coolant temperature, and boost pressure. Events such as hard braking and speeding are detected in near real time.
The app allows users to record, view, edit and track On Duty, Driving, Off Duty and Sleeper-Berth duty statuses in a logbook. The app supports US federal and intrastate HOS rule sets: US 8/70, US 7/60, TX, FL, OR, AK, WA, NY, WI, IL. The app also supports Canada cycle-1. Federal exemptions such as passenger carrying, oil and gas, construction material, motion picture, non-CDL drivers and agricultural operations are also supported. The app has provisions to annotate the driving times as personal conveyance and yard moves. HOS Logs from the app can be sent via email to safety officials during inspections.
The app helps drivers to create pre-trip and post-trip DVIRs. The app allows users to store images in DVIRs and also to store fuel receipts useful for filing IFTA reports. The app stores location information with duty status changes and transmits the position information to the DriverConnect portal to track and trace a vehicle. The location information is also provided in reports created to aid in IFTA filings.
The app automatically syncs with the Rand McNally DriverConnect portal via Wi-Fi or cellular networks, providing the most up-to-date reports. For a small subscription fee, users may access the Rand McNally DriverConnect web portal, where up to six months of HOS logs, DVIRs and fuel receipts can be stored. Fleet managers can administer, communicate, generate reports and may also view vehicle locations on a map using Rand McNally DriverConnect web portal.
The app allows drivers and fleet personnel to communicate via messaging. Fleet personnel can also send workflows to the drivers and drivers can update the fleet personnel using the Forms in the workflow. Drivers may choose to message the fleet safety personnel using standard Forms. The app provides receipt for ‘sent’ and ‘read’ messages.
The app is available on smartphones, tablets or Rand McNally TND™ tablets.

1 ★This app is part of my overdryve pro 8. It absolutely sucks. You would think that these guys would know how to build a decent GPS but nope, I paid hundreds of dollars and now need to send in my device ro get it flashed at a cost of 100$. Thats not even certain to fix it as i fear the issue is bad coding trying to marry all this software. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING RAND MCNALLY NOT WORTH IT
1 ★Absolute garbage. When I try to see my logs it just says blank screen. Whenever you try to open another app it keeps bugging you about andorid auto and locks your phone out. Half the stuff doesn't even work. I bought it last minute and cant wait to return it.
1 ★Absolutely garbage. Won't stayed paired with Bluetooth takes way to long to buffer the data. Can't ever sign out or log on with out unplugging the ELD50. Customer service is a bunch of morons. That keep telling you the same thing over and over
5 ★Very easy to use, helps tools while on the road looking for truck stops and other points of interest. Also provides help tools such as low clearance levels ahead. Overall very happy with this app!

1 ★Driver connect and rand McNally's app an tablets are a complete waste of money. The tnd80 tablet freezes more than it ever works. There's always a problem paring their tablets to the eld. It's just crazy and a waste of a lot of money. Just horrible
1 ★Since the last update I can no longer fix my logs. I will be on PC and it will switch over to drive after I make a stop and will not let me correct it. It also will not let me fix on duty time when it should be showing sleeper berth.
1 ★Hate it, my time zone does not want change to the right one. I have emailed customer several times and don't reply. Also, every time I called they don't answer. Thinking of changing to a better one

5 ★Not sure why it has a low rating, its easy to use an the timer over the screen is very helpful. I do miss the days of loose leaf loggs but with this app i dont have to worrie if i made a mistake.

2 ★always freezing and needind to be reset. jumps from driving to on duty while driving or will put you back on duty after you have saved off duty status. hard to fix errors manually.
