1 ★what is going on? Used to be so reliable. Now it is not loading at all. I cannot believe that the Globe and Mail does not have the resources to maintain a proper App. Very Disappointing.
5 ★This app makes reading the paper a pleasant and easy experience. I can choose the layout I prefer, leave the page and return to it later.
4 ★Can't imagine going back to hard copy
1 ★Better than carrying paper around, but not a great app. A great feature would be an option to automatically download new issues as soon as theyre available; I assumed that the "automatically deliver new issues" toggle would have done this, but every morning I still need to open the app and click the download button.
3 ★It has not been smooth. As you know, in ns we did not have a choice to go paperless. So we did as we had to. Now every so often I can't get the download and have had to phone and do all sorts of things to get it going. the people answering the phone do not speak English well and often are fed up or else don't know what to do. Either that, or they tell me something is wrong with my tablet. Strange when it is working as usual for everything else. It has been frustrating to Sat the least.
1 ★Unable to sign in. Authorization failure. Same on browser. Can access my account, so username and password are correct. Paying for content I am unable to access. Disappointed.
5 ★I used to use this app on my computer which has no touch screen and I found it cumbersome to get around the newspaper. Since I bought a tablet, however, I have found that the app is optimised for easy reading. It is so easy to read a complete article and then return to where you were in the newspaper. I am very satisfied.
3 ★Very strong on phone, moderate on laptop. Some pluses: it auto-aligns to columns, but zooming in has to be done for every pair of pages. Thus, on laptop without touch sensitive screen, it's a pain. Plus, it never seems to auto download the next issue. I'm always waiting each morning.
4 ★I really appreciate seeing the page layout of the Globe and clicking on the article that I wish to read. However, almost every time I choose an article I have to click multiple times to get the article to open. Often I must enlarge the page to get it to work. I'm reading on my android.
1 ★CPU / Battery Killer. Spikes 2/4 cores up to 100% on my Intel Core i3 Chromebook. Causes the fan to come on, making the battery drain even worse, not to mention the noise. No other app seems to do this, even multi-megabyte PDFs are easily navigated in silence. No choice but to use the web version of The Globe and Mail instead.
3 ★The platform is ok. The content is lacking. Not enough personal finance and business news. I really believe there will be a newspaper resurgence online as people migrate away fromt the partisanship and bias on TV platforms. I am searching for content without obvious bias. I am subscribing to e-platforms to view raw content. Not opinion.
3 ★One reason to subscribe to Globe2Go is ease of manoevering around the articles. Usually the headline is bolded and links to the complete article. Too many times however that link is not there so you have to flip through the "pages". When it works, it works well but when it doesn't......
