Description

Since Plato first coined the term 'mythologia', mythology has come to hold greater significance and power as a crucial element of civilization as a whole.

Written by a leading scholar of ancient civilizations, Oxford Dictionary of World Mythology presents the powerful gods of Greece, Rome, and Scandinavia, the more mystical deities of Buddhist and Hindu India, and the stern spirits of the African and American continents. Drawing upon hundreds of myths from around the globe, it not only reveals the vast differences in these civilizations, but also demonstrates the unity of mankind in its fundamental need for explanations of the unknown.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

5 ★Very very good
2 ★It seems like it could be really cool, even has a word for today, like it said charon ferried shades, but then it didn't even have a definition for shades, it didn't have a lot of things, like Sun Wukong
3 ★It's good but missing so many entries, in a way I could suggest Cotterell's Encyclopedia of Mythology over this as it is more comprehensive.
4 ★Other than a few spelling errors and clipped writing, a very enjoyable app.
5 ★Just what I need. Worth getting Premium.
4 ★Pretty good, not as detailed as I'd like though
5 ★I LOVE MYTHOLOGY
4 ★good apps
5 ★ผมไม่ได้รู้อะไรมากหรอก แต่ออกฟอร์ดน่าจะดีสุดละ
3 ★I like the app for the information it actually has but sadly that information is very limited. The name is 'World Mythology' yet it is mostly Greek, Roman and Norse(like description I know). I see different ones here and there but not even close to complete. There are also many more possible mythology materials from around the world. I am not saying to get every mythological being into this dictionary, although that would be awesome, but adding more would certainly be appreciated. Personally I would like more Slavic, Celtic and Babylonian mythology, but that is just me. My point I cannot give 5 stars unless there will be regular updates with more information. I will wait and see if there are and then possibly change from 3 to 4 and maybe even a 5.
