Dr. TGH. Muhammad Zainul Majdi, M.A atau yang akrab disapa Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) (lahir di Pancor, Selong, 31 Mei 1972; umur 45 tahun) adalah Gubernur Nusa Tenggara Barat 2 periode, masa jabatan 2008-2013 dan 2013-2018. Pada periode pertama dia didampingi oleh Wakil Gubernur Badrul Munir dan pada periode kedua didampingi oleh Wakil Gubernur Muhammad Amin.Dr. TGH. Muhammad Zainul Majdi mengenyam pendidikan dasar di SDN 3 Mataram (Sekarang SDN 6 Mataram), lulus tahun 1986. Ia melewati jenjang SLTP di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Mu'allimin Nahdlatul Wathan Pancor hanya selama 2 tahun, dan lulus Aliyah di yayasan yang sama tahun 1991. Sebelum memasuki perguruan tinggi ia menghafal Al-Qur'an di Ma’had Darul Qur’an wal Hadits Nahdlatul Wathan Pancor selama setahun (1991-1992).
Kemudian pada tahun 1992 Majdi berangkat ke Kairo guna menimba ilmu di Fakultas Ushuluddin Jurusan Tafsir dan Ilmu-Ilmu Al-Qur’an Universitas Al-Azhar Kairo dan lulus meraih gelar Lc. pada tahun 1996. Lima tahun berikutnya, ia meraih Master of Art (M.A.) dengan predikat Jayyid Jiddan.
Setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan S1 dan S2 di Al-Azhar selama 10 tahun, Majdi melanjutkan ke program S3 di universitas dan jurusan yang sama. Pada bulan Oktober 2002, proposal disertasi Majdi diterima dengan judul Studi dan Analisis terhadap Manuskrip Kitab Tafsir Ibnu Kamal Basya dari Awal Surat An-Nahl sampai Akhir Surat Ash-Shoffat di bawah bimbingan Prof. Dr. Said Muhammad Dasuqi dan Prof. Dr. Ahmad Syahaq Ahmad. Ia berhasil meraih gelar Doktor dengan predikat Martabah EL-Syaraf El Ula Ma`a Haqqutba atau Summa Cumlaude pada hari sabtu, 8 Januari 2011 dalam munaqosah (sidang) dengan Dosen Penguji Prof. Dr. Abdul Hay Hussein Al-Farmawi dan Prof. Dr . Al-Muhammady Abdurrahman Abdullah Ats-Tsuluts.
