Sunan ibnu Majah (Arab:سُنن ابن ماجه) adalah kitab kumpulan Hadits dalam Islam yang disusun oleh ibnu Majah. Kitab ini adalah salah satu dari enam kitab (Kutubus Sittah) yang menjadi rujukan utama bagi pemeluk Islam. Kitab ini menghimpun kurang lebih 4000 hadits yang terpisah kedalam 32 buku.Namanya ialah Abu Abdillah Muhammad Bin Yazid bin Majah arRobaiy al Qoswiniy al Hafidz. Julukannya Abu Abdillah. Terkenal dengan sebutan Ibnu Majah. Ia dilahirkan pada tahun 209 Hijriyah / 824 M di kota Qazwin (saat ini menjadi Propinsi Qaswin negara Iran) dan wafat pada tanggal 22 Romadhon tahun 273 Hijriyah / 10 Pebruari 887 M dalam umur 64 Tahun. Majah adalah nama gelar bagi Yazid ayahnya yang dikenal juga dengan nama Majah Maula Robi’ah. Ibnu Majah sudah belajar ilmu sejak masa mudanya. Diriwayatkan bahwa Imam Ibn Majah belajar hadits mulai umur 15 tahun kepada seorang syekh yang bernama Ali bin Muhammad at Tonafisiy al Hafidz. Pada usia 21 tahun, a mulai mengadakan perjalanan untuk mengumpulkan dan menulis Hadits ke negeri-negeri Islam seperti: ar Royyi (Teheran), Basroh, Kufah, Bagdad, Makkah, Syam dan Mesir.
