With the Melitta® Connect app you can manage many of the features of your Barista T Smart® or Barista TS Smart® really simply with your smartphone.The Melitta® Connect App really has what it takes:
The perfect coffee: Choose your favourite recipe from 18 (Barista T Smart®) or 21 (Barista TS Smart®) delicious coffee specialities or become a barista yourself and create your own individual freestyle recipe à la "Sunday Morning Dream" or "Hello wake up!". You decide how much coffee, frothed milk or water should pour into your cup and in what order.
My Coffee Profile: Manage the settings of the beverage buttons on your fully automatic coffee machine using the app. You can even save individual profiles for up to four (Barista T Smart®) or eight (Barista TS Smart®) people.
Appliance settings: You can also really conveniently manage the other appliance settings using the app e.g. setting the water hardness level.
Tutorials: Your appliance needs cleaned or descaled? Don't panic, the app has tutorials that show you how to do it!
Handbook: Everything at a glance! The whole user manual in your own language really conveniently "to go".

2 ★App functionality works on a basic level if you perform each step one at a time. However the ability to store a recipe with multiple steps needs more work. If you want warm milk rather than frothed milk, this cannot be added as a recipe step, only frothed milk can be added. Yet once your espresso shot is ready, you can tell the app to add warm milk separately. This defeats the purpose is being able to save recipes....
1 ★Edit: Latest update has lost all "my recipes" in the app, now only offers a make new recipe option. As dev has said I can now configure using "my coffee", but this is a big change and was done without notification or saving of existing recipes. Using a barista TS smart the app also has bugs and doesn't use the correct bean container and gets the milk, coffee, water settings wrong. It's very difficult to set using the machine, so these updates and bugs have ruined my enjoyment of the machine
1 ★The app is not fit for purpose. It does not connect via bluetooth and after uninstalling and reinstalling the app now crashes? What are you going to do about this? Please a look at the reviews on the play store, the general consensus is the same. Terrible! Please do not reply with a standard issue response that recipes can be saved to the device. It's nearly 2020 and you are purporting that the device can be used with an app, but this is not the case.
1 ★useless! needs to perform a slow reconnect process every time I open it. Then in middle of preparation is will error and have to click the prepare button until it works. Is it so hard to make the connection work like a Bluetooth headset or speaker? After setting up once other devices connected instantly!
1 ★This app is a disgrace. Looses connection in less than a minute and the few times it doesn't, it's impossible to edit any recipe because i get an error. No possible way to add a freestyle recipe to the "my recipe" button. It's so sad because the coffee it makes is so good but this app is just utter garbage. Get your **** together!
2 ★I love my Melitta coffee machine. The app on the other had is just awful, mainly due to connection issues if I am honest. It can take 10 mins and multiple attempts to get it to connect to the coffee machine. Then it keeps stopping or closing, when not in use.
1 ★Coffee Machine: 5/5, Connect App: -4/5. Appears to have been developed by a collection of donkeys: The save button usually doesn't work. The "apply" button also seems to have gone on strike. All the reasons that I would want a smart coffee machine have been negated thanks to this dysfunctional app. And yes I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
5 ★You may fine tune your coffee selection with the app. The access to the menu for personal latte macchiato is clear. You start in the app also the cleaning of the coffee machine. My phone with Android 11 connects via BlueTooth directly. The taste of the espresso is the same as in a coffee corner. You may see the three layers of a latte macchiato in your glass.
1 ★Very annoying app. I understand that making software is not the main quality of a coffee machine manufacturer. (I worked for one myself as a software development manager.So I know the world from inside.) But, boy this software makes me cry. Has this software been designed with actual customers? Has it been thoroughly tested at all? Many times it looses BT connection. And by default changes in coffee recipes are not stored.
3 ★it always takes several attempts to connect to the app. this is pretty poor for such an expensive machine. it's also a pretty needy machine(GIVE ME WATER,GIVE ME COFFEE,EMPTY ME, CLEAN ME USING OVERPRICED CLEANING PRODUCTS). just as well I have perfected a couple of different coffees or the machine would have been sent back.
1 ★The coffee machine is good but the app is now unusable. Constant connection errors. Can see the devs haven't updated it for a year now so with new android and Bluetooth versions it's quickly becoming a redundant app that they no longer support
5 ★Work fantastic. I must say that having ability to fine tune your drinks (and machine settings) directly from phone is something which I tought will never need in past, but now I thnk every good coffee machine should have it. Bluetooth work good, but for future versions you can consider also wifi for connection, it will allow coffee machine to become real part of smart home. Keep it good work guys. (y)
