大国の脅威に脅えるモンドア王国は領土拡大を狙い、北の小国セクラックへと侵攻を開始。しかし戦闘は拮抗、泥沼の戦いへと様相を呈していく。
この事態に喜んだのは戦を生業とする傭兵達である。
戦の度に多大な報酬が支払われ、大金を手に入れる数々の傭兵隊……。
だがそれは多数の傭兵を囲う大手傭兵隊の話である。
