IpBike aims to be feature rich - comparing to stand alone bike computes its Garmin 820 class rather than Garmin 200 or 500. If you want a simple app please look else where. If you want lots of features please be prepared to take time to learn how to use them see http://www.iforpowell.com/cms/index.php?page=help

Limitations.

The free version of IpBike is limited to one million wheel revolutions (or equivalent in gps only mode 2070mm wheel). For permanent use after this you will need to get the IpBikeKey app which will unlock this limitation.

IpBike uses IpSensorMan to provide access to ANT+, Btle and Bluetooth sensors. If you have a compatible phone and do not have IpSensorMan installed you will be prompted to install it. You can use an ANT USB Stick if your phone supports USB host mode.

If IpBike fails to start up on your device the most common cause is an issue with the Google maps setup. The release page has a version without Google Maps support you can try.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Update - used the app for my first "real" training ride today. I created a workout that I would follow, and the app far exceeded my expectations! This mean that I just saved myself over €300 buying a cycling computer! Very, very complete app for cycling. What attracted me first to the app was the support for ANT sensors, but what really blew my mind is how super configurable the app is, its functionality and the incredible feedback data it provides.
5 ★Great app. Allows for true black background, which is great for battery life. Works with power meters and heart rate monitors.
5 ★Excellent App, lots of settings to consider. Using it to log road sessions and on trainer. Picked up garmin cadence and speed sensors without any issues.
5 ★IPBike allows all the sensors, maps and settings that Strava has cut, plus auto upload to Strava etc. Turns your phone into a Garmin. A great product. Configurable to suit anyone.
5 ★Great app , a little bit confusing at first until you get use to it, then you can set up you're own monitor preferences.
1 ★The UI is actually one of the worst I've ever experienced firsthand, and it is nearly impossible to accomplish what you want to do. If I need to read docs to figure out how to get a display with speed, cadence, and time, then something is very wrong with your biking app lol.
5 ★I think, its best app for long trips, also MTB rides (amazing power save, offline, sensors and etc. implementation) only need more time to setup. Good as garmin :)
5 ★Does its job.
5 ★excelent. very good also with home trainer. mandatory speed |cadence sensor and hrm sensor. works great with ant+ sensors.
5 ★Probably the best app with high level of functionality for advanced users. It's so good that I would rather mount and use this on my bike than use my Garmin headunit.
4 ★This app works really well. The only downside is the rather raw UI. Very good app overall. Has tons of features.
4 ★After having tried other cadence apps this is the only one sensitive enough to consistently detect my device when I am on the turbo.
