On the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi on 8th January 2018 Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli is glad to release an APP for Android based mobile platform.In the first phase as a speck of token compared with the magnanimity of Swamiij's work and contribution, this app will showcase the important life incidents of Swami Vivekananda in pictorial mode.
The photographic evidence is a research based work published by Advaita Ashrama. The app contains pictures of Swamiji and People Associated with him with its captions arranged in Chronological manner
Forthcoming days we intend to release updates in the form of many valuable books and educational content which are not copyrighted. So is the name 'Digital Books' or 'e-pustaka'
The app is entirely built and maintained by volunteers of Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli and a group name called as 'dhi'

1. App is a general framework of books and data is pulled from www.rkmission-shivanahalli.org
2. Content is dynamically updated from the portal so the initial bundled app is very less in size.
3. Once the pages are scrolled with internet switched on all the data is pulled onto phone cache. So you can later use it Offline. Even then it occupies less memory size.
4, Whenever the user is done with reading the book one can 'clear cache' and delete the book from the provided option and clear their phone memory
5.User can also book mark certain pages and fast browse selected pages through the book mark feature
6. "Refresh all" button will dynamically fetch or Sync contents with the portal
7. Since this app is dynamically updated we intend to release a book every month. It can be other works of Swamiji, philosophy of Ramakrishna Mission, story books for children, Value oriented education, Nature guides etc
8. All the apps released by Ramakrishna Mission, Shivanahalli will not be commercial
