Description

Google Play will no longer warn you if an app developed for Android M requires the INTERNET permission. However, it's sometimes nice to know if a calculator or flashlight app requests the INTERNET permission. Permissions Watchdog helps you to determine if an app requires the INTERNET permission.

There are two ways in which the app can be triggered:
1. Right after installing an app, a notification will warn you if the app you just installed requests the INTERNET permission
2. On any Google Play app page, tap Share --> "Check permissions" to find out if an app requires the INTERNET permission even before installing it

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Just installed without any issues on my Note 4 Edge running KitKat 4.4.4 and has already given indications of several apps that I have recently installed that never requested Internet access orginally. An underhand act by Google but counteracted by excellent software. My congratulations and thanks Dev.
5 ★Doesn't just tell you if a given app. has the "internet" permission, but all any given app's permissions. It is a little ironic that it reports itself as having the "internet" permission, but the author has explained it needs to to check on other apps to me personally by Google+.
2 ★Good idea but the app load is super slow and blocks the UI for several seconds.
3 ★It simply detects if an app wants permission to connect to the Internet when you install it. Nothing more. Don't expect an alert when an installed app uses the connect to internet permission.
1 ★App is not able to chech permissions on note5.
5 ★Does what it says in a simple way.
5 ★Ok
