• reduce your data usage

• increase your privacy

• 100% open source
• No calling home
• No tracking or analytics
• No advertisements
• Actively developed and supported
• Android 5.1 and later supported
• IPv4/IPv6 TCP/UDP supported
• Tethering supported
• Optionally allow when screen on
• Optionally block when roaming
• Optionally block system applications
• Optionally notify when an application accesses the internet
• Optionally record network usage per application per address

• Display network speed graph in a status bar notification
• Select from five additional themes in both light and dark version

There is no other no-root firewall offering all these features.

If you like to test new features, you can participate in the test program: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/eu.faircode.netguard

All required permissions are described here: https://github.com/M66B/NetGuard/blob/master/FAQ.md#user-content-faq42

NetGuard uses the Android VPNService to route traffic to itself, so it can be filtered on-device instead of on a server. Only one app can use this service at the same time, which is a limitation of Android.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Data saver reporting in-app incorrectly and unable to disable battery saver for this app on Google Pixel 9 Pro. Would also like reporting on all ports being used by the system, other than 80 and 443, in all private subnet ranges, including BGP; an NMAP scan of rfc 1918 address space on my phone with tmux shows BGP daemons bound on port 179. Cellular slicing information and errors reported by phone tower, similar to iOS's version of cloudflare warp, which also lists active routing tables too. 🫣
5 ★could be a lot of things that would make it better, such as easier tracking of each app usage, breakdown of traffic by app instead of digging and sitting sifting through logs, refined udp filtering (as all or nothing tends to break things), price is a bit high, however it's still king as there is nothing close to it, so 5 stars.
5 ★I took a risk and purchased a pro version for 7 euro right from the start to see the full potential, e.g., log file. I am impressed very, very nice. with all features enabled, I don't see any extensive battery usage or my a13 Samsung or processor resources overused. I wish the developer all the best. Thank you !
5 ★Supports TCP/UDP, v.4 and v.6, with granular control over apps. Traffic can be run via Orbot. DataGuard app actually uses NetGuard's open source code to create their app. That's how good this app really is.
5 ★not the app I needed, but the developers are very responsive and involved. That's worth everything when you're trying to find a product that works. I wish them the best and I would caution them to phrase things delicately.
5 ★privacy first and always. support the project. f-droid :)
2 ★I was hoping that it could put certain apps into Airplane Mode or something like that but instead it completely stops the app from doing anything at all. it can't even open. I get a "null null" notification. I'd like to play the downloaded content without being bombarded with ads or autoplay the payed content. so please make add a airplane mode option. thanks
5 ★Absolutely, marvellous. That's what I required.
5 ★works consistently well.
5 ★it has worked perfectly 😊
