• reduce your data usage
• save your battery
• increase your privacy

• Simple to use
• No root required
• 100% open source
• No calling home
• No tracking or analytics
• No advertisements
• Actively developed and supported
• Android 5.1 and later supported
• IPv4/IPv6 TCP/UDP supported
• Tethering supported
• Optionally allow when screen on
• Optionally block when roaming
• Optionally block system applications
• Optionally notify when an application accesses the internet
• Optionally record network usage per application per address
• Material design theme with light and dark theme

PRO features:

• Log all outgoing traffic; search and filter access attempts; export PCAP files to analyze traffic

There is no other no-root firewall offering all these features.

If you like to test new features, you can participate in the test program: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/eu.faircode.netguard

All required permissions are described here: https://github.com/M66B/NetGuard/blob/master/FAQ.md#user-content-faq42

NetGuard uses the Android VPNService to route traffic to itself, so it can be filtered on-device instead of on a server. Only one app can use this service at the same time, which is a limitation of Android.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Works flawlessly and for free!
5 ★Good
3 ★Doesn't work for YouTube Music
4 ★How do you set the app so that it blocks by default, then you allow from pulldown menu if desired? I don't want to give internet access by default.
5 ★Granular control, within reason, and at least adequate bucketing within the population of controls. Any more buckets would likely lead to conflicts or misconfigs. Suggest we throw all electronic mfrg execs out the airlock and hand this guy the conch shell.
5 ★Great! The pro feature activation process was a tiny bit convoluted but if you read the instructions and pay attention it's not too big of a deal. This is pretty much mandatory nowadays! Much appreciated!
5 ★Excellent. Here's a tip. There is an option to "lockdown all traffic" which does exactly that for all apps. Now, i never turned that on, because i never go into the settings,, but it was turned on somehow. But, it's easy to turn off again and is, in itself, a useful feature.
5 ★It's got it qurcks. It does fail but I like it. Needs some fine tuning. It works well for short term usage.
5 ★Simplento use No ads Free
5 ★Does exactly what it needs to do, and its even open-source.
