Description

SoundHUD is a highly customizable volume panel replacement that doesn't require root access. And maybe best of all: It comes with a true silent mode for Lollipop users!

What's in the box:
• Multiple styles - choose between an expandable volume panel, a statusbar volume panel, or just a thin line that stays out of your way
• Lollipop silent mode - tired of the lack of a true silent mode for Lollipop? Yeah, so are we!
• Long press actions - launch any app simply by long-pressing one of the volume buttons
• No root required - leave the drill at home: no root, no Xposed - keep that sweet, sweet warranty!
• Volume stream lock - got a media tablet? Turn on volume stream lock to always adjust the music volume instead of having to deal with a useless ringer volume
• ...and much more!

Like Lollipop's design and simplicity? It sure is swell, but it seems the stock volume panel didn't get the memo - if you've tried getting Lollipop to shush while still getting woken up in the morning, I'm pretty sure you were on the verge of feeding your phone to Rusty (pro-tip: plastic doesn't make a very good dog treat!). Enter SoundHUD, which comes with a true silent mode for Lollipop, an expandable volume panel with separate, draggable volume sliders for every volume stream (ringer, music, notifications, alarms, in-call volume), and much more!

Silent mode HOW-TO
1. Go to System settings -> Sound & notification -> Interruptions
2. Turn OFF all priority interruption switches
3. Get up, do a little dance, and enjoy the silence! No more calls, notifications, reminders - just alarms!

What's this funny "Accessibility"-business?!
To recognize when you press the volume keys and to auto-hide the default system volume panel, the app needs access to the "Accessibility" service. While we agree that the built-in warning sounds mighty scary - fret not: The app doesn't have Internet access and therefore can't phone home! Hello? Hello? Anyone? No? Oh well...

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Recently the app will turn my phone to priority mode when the volume goes to vibrate, and no interruptions when the volume is on silent. I'd like the ability to have notifications silent but alarms on please!
3 ★Useful software but so buggy. Stops working randomly and I have to restart my phone. Force stopping and restarting the application doesn't work sometimes. Would be an easy 5 stars if this was fixed.
4 ★Wonderful app, but there is a very big, annoying bug tht it stops and reverts back to the system volume hud, and I hav to go back to accessibility settings and turn it on and off again. PLS FIX. Also, it doesn't work with in call volume
5 ★Of instead of the system volume steps it would allow percentage control this would solve my problems. It's great to have to overlay to desappear and everything moved on a thin bar though.
1 ★It used to be that when I expand the volume panel, I could tap the ringer into silent mode. Then it updated and now it doesn't seem to work. Just gets stuck on ringer mode and won't silence. In order to quiet my phone I have to disable the whole app and do it normally. This kills HUGE functionality. It's been like this for a while but I've been holding out hope it was just some quick glitch that would be patched in a timely manner. Boy, was I wrong. They need to get on this now or this app is worthless.
3 ★When the app works it works well. I really like the design and placement of the status bar volume indicator. However, every once in a while the app will stop responding and then my home, back, and multi tasking buttons stop working.
1 ★The sound level randomly increase to top volume with no pressed button. I need to press "Up" button and then "Down" button to put it back at a decent level. This become really dangerous when listening to music with headphones... Apart from this, good app, and bring the silent mode back.
3 ★it crashes whenever you manually select a song in google play music. And sometimes whenever sound hud restarts after a crash, it disables the functionality of the home, back, and recent app buttons. (Note: Currently using the evaluation version to test the app out).
3 ★Please help... app works for a little bit then eventually stops working.. I have to restart phone to get app to work. Galaxy s8
3 ★Would like labels or icons or both so I know which slider adjusts which volume. There are two bells and two speakers. Not sure what they adjust. The alarm clock icon is self explanatory but still. Overall much better than Lollipops version on Galaxy S5. Changing notification volume was a hassle
5 ★This is much better than my default volume slider. Doesn't take up any room and I can see what's happening on my screen if I'm playing games.
4 ★The one thing that would really make this a 5 star app is the ability adjust the volume by different increments. I'd love if I only had to press the button 8 times to go full volume instead of the 12 or so times it takes me. Also, if we could expand the volume controls w/o having that as the default.
