Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Almost every other day I have to uninstall and reinstall the app because my download folder completely vanishes and the only way to get it back is the uninstall and reinstall method. Sometimes I will have done this and am reading a story and go to read the next chapter only for it to vanish and I have to do it all over again. And when reinstalling you have to redo every single formatting you did (font type and size, day or night mode, etc) it's very frustrating. 2 times today
3 ★Lots of bugs. A lot features also don't work. Such as when you're trying to make a new document the "docx" and "file upload" does not work. I also wish there was a way to strikethrough words, but that's easy to get around. There's no clear way to respond to reviews, and I'm not sure if there is a way in general, which I think would be a helpful feature. Overall, it's nice that they have an app, but AO3 is still a lot better.
2 ★I cannot even type in the review section anymore. Whenever spellchecker highlights a word, it has the same effect as it forcefully deselecting and reselecting the text box every time a new character is added. If caps lock is on, it undoes it. If I'm glide-typing, it breaks the line I'm swiping. Even tap-typing is borderline unusable when it deletes the letter I typed if I go too fast. I can't even disable this nuisance. I know what I type. Stop trying to fix it for me!
4 ★Would have given full stars if it weren't for all the glitches with the new update. PM feature does not work, and the app will not load anything, despite having full bars. As of now it is unusable for me so I hope it is seen to soon! Over all, (despite the new and horrible bugs) this app has been wonderful in the past. Great interface, easy to use, and quite simple. Please keep up the good work!
3 ★Good app most of the time but I've noticed that bookmarks don't correctly show the position you bookmarked on longer chapters just that the chapter was bookmarked. And stories will "reset" after a while and you lose all progress on them. Right now though my biggest issue is the lack of a clear all notification button on the new notification tab because every once and a while the tab resets and I have to scroll through all 4k notifications or deal with them permanently being there.
5 ★This app has to be one the BEST Fanfiction apps ever when wanting to read or write a story. However, there is one critique I have; I have gotten rid of my downloaded stories and I really want to download them again but when I try to, the download option isn't there. And these were stories I've downloaded previously. Please fix. I really want to redownload my favorite stories including ones that I'm working on. Thank you!
3 ★Long time user first time review. Up until now it has been good. I have used this app since almost the day it was set. But lately the only glitch I have an issue with is with the favorite section. It doesn't show me the correct number of what I'm up to date with and every time when I go to the favorites certain stories don't even show. Could you fix this? Thank you. Other than that it's good.
5 ★Great app, have been using it since the start. I noticed with the new update that story filter has been changed from 'swipe from left' to a 'button at the top'. This is highly inconvenient if one is on a large phone (like the S10) as the reachability of the new filter button is very low. My other suggestion is to implement a state for the TTS feature such that when one returns, the TTS continues to read from the point where the previous session ended and not from the beginning of the chapter.
3 ★Just got on the app and all of my downloaded stories are gone and if I go to reading history to re-download them, it won't let me. Overall I never had any issues with this app but this is very upsetting as some of the stories I had downloaded are discontinued and are hard to find. If this is a bug, please look into it.
4 ★The ai grammar tool needs to show the errors in red. Or at least highlighted. I'm absolutely happy that the translate feature exists. My french reading ability is atrocious. I'm pretty sure that there are six or seven year olds who can read better than I can. And all the best stories of my favorite series are in french.
4 ★Overall love the app but there is one problem I've run into lately. It stores all the downloaded fics on the internal storage and there's no way in the app to tell it to use the SD card instead. Also, it would be awesome if you were on an author's list, favorites, or browsing a community and have it show you which apps you've already had progress on or read, or even just downloaded, rather than no indicator at all as it is now. I use this app quite often and love it but those would all be definite improvements!
4 ★A few issues, when I've been reading a chapter and i am about halfway done with it, (automatically it scrolls all the way up by itself) not a good feature for disabled people. Make it optional before it begins scrolling down because headphones button was pushed. This app changed the voice module, wholeheartedly agree that future updates should be made with handicapped people in mind. Some fixes have been made since i last reviewed. Still I want the option to block users.
