Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★It used to be great, but now it feels like every update breaks EVERYTHING, especially the TTS. Edit 2/19/25: It's worse than ever, honestly I recommend not even bothering at this point. Tears through your battery life and barely functions. If you don't download the story, don't bother with TTS, anything longer than a few lines of text will just shut it off, it's honestly better to just open the story in a browser that has built in tts functions.
4 ★The last update stopped downloaded stories from updating for me. Fir example one story has 51 chapters (which I have read via the websie) but only shows 46 in the app. Whenever I went to make a bug report...the app closed itself so no report could be made. Was 5-star until then.
1 ★There's a lot of bugs lately, some of the stories kept getting deleted, even though source isn't removed from the site. There's also some stories redownloading themselves with incomplete chapters. Update: I can't use my Facebook account to login to my Fanfiction account.
1 ★Some updates don't show up in my followed stories list. stories sometimes desync, have to close and reopen the app multiple times to fix. notifications tab stuck at 90+, even after uninstall and reinstall, logout and login and everything else I tried. New single chapter stories sometimes refuse to open, saying no record found. Sometimes when I tab out of the app, it closes whatever I was reading and sends me back to homepage.
2 ★Some of the fanfics that i downloaded a while ago suddenly stuck at the download manager. Some of it became blank and i have to redownload it. Also, the fanfics missing some chapters and i have to delete and redownload to read it. Please help.
2 ★I like the app and the functions when it works properly. The battery issue I had before has been fixed, but there are a lot of new problems now. My main issue is that the new chapters are not available when clicked or not even showing it was updated at all. I repeatedly have to close and reopen the app to get new chapters to load. Say there are 200 chapters, and it will only show 174 when you click the notification.
1 ★App is broken. Stories are missing a chapter after updating. Downloaded stories do not update and I've got to manually redownload them.
1 ★Current bugs are a refusal to sync with the latest updates and refusal to use the TTS feature. Sometimes, I'll be able to hear two or three paragraphs before it loads so long it shuts off mid sentence. Please fix these issues, devs!
2 ★It was pretty good at first, easy way to read and follow etc. but recently not sure if the server is messed up or what but stories are out of sync with new updates, you can do anything as a writer and notifications are a whole mess I'll go back to using the web page
1 ★Edit: Some stories can't be accessed by the app anymore while still being on the site. 0/5 stars. The app is completely broken at the moment. Novels won't display all their chapters and load even less. It also keeps claiming it's desyncing with my old phone, that stories on it keep being deleted when it's sitting next to me with a dead battery. As far as I'm concerned this is now a dead app and their website is so awkward to use it's not far off being dead either.
