Description
This is the real battery saver. No placebo and dumb marketing shenanigans!Naptime lowers your device's power consumption while the display is off by empowering Android's built-in doze power saving functionality. Faster idle means less power being consumed unecessarily. By default doze can take a while to kick in so Naptime just speeds-up that process automagically for you.
It can also automatically disable W-iFi, mobile data, location & bluetooth as soon as doze kicks in.
Experimental features such as automatic Android Battery Saver, Aggressive Doze timings, Aggressive Doze scheduling times and location detection.
Now you have profiles so you can load them up on demand based on your usage and accessible from Quick Tiles.
Most features work if you're not rooted, but to have the full experience you'll have to root your device.

Q: Rootless mode?
To use Naptime's features without Root you need to grant it DUMP permission via ADB on your computer by executing this command:
adb -d shell pm grant com.franco.doze android.permission.DUMP
You also need to grant WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission:
adb -d shell pm grant com.franco.doze android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
After these two permissions are granted you'll be able to use Naptime freely.
Q: I don't receive notifications or my music streaming apps stop working after screen off. Please halp!
With 'Aggressive Doze' doze is being forced after you screen off. Doze is, currently, the most powerful battery saving mechanism on Android.
The following restrictions apply to your apps while in Doze:
· Only high-priority push notifications are delivered;
· Network access is suspended;
· The system ignores wake locks;
· Standard AlarmManager alarms are deferred to the next maintenance window:
· The system does not perform Wi-Fi scans;
· The system does not allow sync adapters to run;
· The system does not allow JobScheduler to run;
Apps like Gmail, which use normal-priority notifications, have them delivered during the maintenance window or when you wake up your device. This is standard behavior and can't be changed
Although, you can choose apps to bypass doze. Go to Settings -> Battery -> overflow ->Battery optimization -> All apps -> Your app -> Don't optimize
That'll allow apps like Spotify to bypass the forced doze and actually work on screen off.
Q: What's the 'Sensors app whitelist' feature?
It works together with the 'Disable motion detection' feature and allows you to choose up-to one app (sorry, Android limits us to only one app) to request sensor information even if you disable motion detection.
For example it allows apps, such as Google Fit, to query the accelerometer or gyroscope to count your steps.
Q: Why does my display, sometimes, blink once after screening on?
This might happen if you're disabling the motion sensors. The reason for this is simple, for system brightness & auto-rotate settings to work after screening on they must be toggled on/off (otherwise they won't work) and therefore it may blink (even if it's only for a couple milliseconds).
Q: My fingerprint scanner doesn't work when I disable the sensor motion detection!
Unfortunately not all devices will work fine when disabling motion sensor detection and in the process some other sensors & functionality might stop working. There's nothing I can do about it and your only option is to not use that setting enabled. There's also some weird compatibility with LG phones where the display doesn't even turn on again if this setting is enabled.

1 ★I change the first light idle after inactive time out then the other one light idle time out eventually changes to a much higher number is that normal and a few others seem to change I have to restore defaults for it to be at normal numbers I reckon. One plus 7t pro McLaren 4g eu. Doesn't doze anymore. I don't think. I check my mah drain when screens of per 10 mins using 3c and it's over 100mah for like a hour.
3 ★I bought the pro version so that I'll get maximum features and set aggressive doze on. My phone still discharges by 15-18% overnight. Is there any way to fix this? Edit: turning on android battery saver reduces the drain to 6-8%. But logs always show 0s for both light and deep doze :(
5 ★I've rewritten my rating, and donate for pro version. I hope you can activate as well doze mode whenever you're using the phone, for better battery life. But anyways, it's doing pretty good, awesome. Kudos for the dev Francisco Franco. 👍
5 ★Works great with Android Pie. However after I upgraded to Android 10, it won't remember the permissions I allowed for the app. e.g. When it goes to doze, a popup appears on the screen to allow turning off Bluetooth (I discover this when I turn on the screen). Allowing it does not save the permission, and I have to repeatedly tap "Allow" everytime I turn on the screen. I hope everything else is working properly. I'm using Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
5 ★This app has actually helped me a ton with battery, especially if your phone is rooted, definitely worth the features. Of course, the only setback is the money as you can pay for more features, or you can actually watch an ad to get access to those paid features for just a day. That's really consider of the developer, and I applaud him for it. Other than that, amazing app, definitely worth a try.
5 ★It is such a good app,calling it a "must have" would be insulting it. I haven't got any issues with it and needless to say, it makes my device consume a record-breaking amount (or rather, lack thereof) of power while not in use. Record is 0.2%/h but I couldn't maintain the "disable sensors" feature enabled cause I do rely on them for some automation tasks with other app. But! That only raised power consumption to as low as a mere 0.3%/h which is crazy! And that's considering my tiny 3000mAh bat
4 ★The app itself saves battery very effectively, but using Tasker to send intents (example: com.franco.doze.DEACTIVATE_DOZE) does not seem to work. I wanted to use intents to let my fitness tracker keep getting gps. The last version that does this is 6.6.2 that happens not to control gps at all. But the intent function either does not work properly or is not documented well enough to understand its proper use. It would be very good to be able to turn off Naptime for several hours at a time (running a marathon, using gps to record exercise) then send another intent [with Tasker] to reenable Naptime. I've sent the developer a more detailed email with my test results.
5 ★I really love the app. The new tutorial for non-rooted users is great too! Just I don't see the switch for Disabling motion detection during doze. It was enabled by default and the option was there but now its not there anymore. Android: 9.0 Model: SM-G973F Edit: I saw you answer (thx btw) but I'm just gonna keep the question there if somebody happens to want to ask the same. Hope the next update includes that feature (if somehow possible) 😜
2 ★I would have given 5*s but unfortunately, everything works in this new version except mobile data which doesn't get turned off when phone is dozing. Each time I unlock my phone after screen off, I still find my mobile data on. Fix this and you get another review with full stars. Cheers. EDIT: The same issue still persists. Am on Galaxy S7 with devbase 5.9 ROM. Please I really need you to fix this issue, mobile data is a battery killer.
5 ★This app actually helped me in improving my battery life, mainly when it comes to screen off time. Instead of loosing 25-30% while sleeping, I now only lose 10-15%. On top of that, the developer is really friendly and updates are frequent. I think i will be paying for the experimental features soon just to support him.
4 ★The app is super useful, but on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9, using the "disable motion detection during Doze" option is buggy - if the screen is being turned too fast after locking, the screen brightness is being fixed to a set brightness (I need to retoggle the "adaptive brightness" feature for it to return to a proper brightness level) EDIT: seen your answer, and just curious if you can implement some better method with permissions using adb for non root users like me, for this feature to work?
