The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (MOSC) Lectionary app is essential for the faithful looking for the MOSC Lectionary in electronic form. MOSC Lectionary app has two viewing options:
1) Calendar view
2) List view.
Calendar view provides a church calendar and the readings. Simply select a date within the calendar. MOSC lectionary readings can also be selected within a given month. To move through the calendar, go to a specific date via the “Select Date” button or use the left and right arrows that surround the month and year.
With list view, the readings appear as they would in the official church lectionary book, by scrolling through the list.
Both options present the readings for its respective event. By tapping on the bullet symbol, you may expand or collapse a section. Tapping on any given reading will pull up that respective reading for viewing. Simply swipe up and down to move through the reading.
Under the calendar option you will find certain church dates in green. These are fixed dates in our church calendar and do not have a specific reading assigned to it. They have been included because of their importance to the church.
This app is perfect for those seeking knowledge about MOSC readings/history or those who simply want to know which reading is for meant for a particular day. This is an ideal resource for members of the congregation preparing for the Sunday service.
