Green Shadow is a platform from MACT which works on community intervention in the protection of existing trees from incessant cutting in the urban settings and in the rural areas, it looks into growing trees.Trees which are the quintessential for the existence of life on Earth is seeing destruction in almost all the parts of the World. Most of us are interested in growing trees however we let age old trees to be cut. The first step towards protection of trees is to stop them from being cut. As a measure to save the trees so that our present and future generation is blessed with the air to breathe oxygen, MACT has initiated Green Shadow, a platform for community participation and intervention in protecting the trees from being cut and contributing to the increase in tree cover in all districts.
Through Green Shadow, you can take action if you come to know that a tree is about to be cut. Tell us in advance, and we will arrange for local volunteers to support you in protecting the tree from being cut. At other times, you can also chose to volunteer with us and take part in our activities/campaign in the protection of trees and increasing tree cover.
Cutting of Trees is a social problem and only with the collective effort we can protect the remaining trees and ensure that the current destruction does not terminate our survival.
