Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Cuts out when downloading today's edition.
1 ★The app stops working and a phone call to The P-G reveals that the geniuses at the Post-gazette changed the software without notifying customers that the app should be uninstalled and reinstalled. Why can't the P-G notify customers via email that a reinstall is required?
2 ★You need to restore the font size, I have no use for the print button. Also I have not been able to log in on my phone on the last two Tuesday and earlier today. I hate the inconvenience of no printed paper and an App that does not offer a menu for font size, printing or log in to your account every time.
1 ★You screwed up this app with the 8/7 update. Just about daily, i have to force stop, clear cache and data, and resign back in. This better be fixed soon, or i will be forced to cancel my subscription. This is nuts to have a problem like this just when you are trying to go digital. Test your apps before inflicting on community!
2 ★No option to download on my Kindle. Something about Google apps and Amazon not permitted. Reading on my cell is not easy. They also removed the text enlargement feature, so now I have to move text back and forth to read, PIA. Their ads about readers not going back to print, pure BS, We have no choice. Why is this app not available on my computer? At least then I could print it out. You have some work to do, Post-Gazette, until this app runs smoothly on every device. Given a choice, I would choose print over device any day.
2 ★I like the feature that lets you read the entire article at one time. Reliability has gotten better over the last few months.
1 ★Keeps stopping. Each morning I have to uninstall and reinstall app. 4/24/20 Update, now no device in our house will log in. Multiple calls to help desk. What a waste of money!
1 ★Needs an index like the paper version has on the bottom of the front page. And, since the last update, I can't get past the page where it tells you to sign on. I have a sign on but can't get to the place where you can actually do that. So, even though I am paying for a subscription, I can read the PG only when the paper versions are delivered????!!!!!
2 ★The only way I'm able to download a new edition is to uninstall then reinstall the app. This has been corrected. Now the articles will not expand when tapping the headline. I agree with the other reviewers. If the PG is going digital then you need to give subscribers the right tools!
1 ★No matter which device sometimes it loads sometimes not. Cuts off columns and sometimes the continuation of the article is not there.
1 ★too frequent requests to sign in. Sept 29 the paper would not finish downloading eve after uninstalling the app, restarting the tablet and reinstalling the pGe app. How am to read the news 4 days a week? Sad Update on Nov 9, 2019 It has improved with some quirks downloading and opening the day you want to read but you will get there. Also some articles are missing the bottom line especially when the article is continued on another page.
1 ★I don't love this app. 1. can't read full headline. 2. when headline clicked on to open, phone better be in landscape mode, if not, and you turn it, it will revert back to newspaper view. 3. obituary listing chops off many alphabetically listed names. Sometimes you can get the list to go full screen, but not often. 4. Sports page 1 often has only headlines, no columns. 5. Unlike most online periodical apps, there is no text mode. I still read it despite problems and PG leaning further far right.
