A.P. Anil Kumar (born 15 March 1965) is the Minister for Tourism and Welfare of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes in the Indian state of Kerala. He represents Wandoor constituency in the Legislative assembly of Kerala winning by a margin of 28919 votes during the 2011 assembly election.A.P. Anil Kumar was born in scheduled caste community to A.P. Balan and K.L. Devaki on 15 March 1965 at Malappuram, Kerala.He started his political career through theKerala Students Union and was the State Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress. In 2001, he was elected from the wandoor Constituency to the Kerala Legislative Assembly and later became Minister with portfolios of sc st and bc, cultural and youth affairs in the Oommen Chandy Ministry in 2004.
