浮世絵や歌舞伎、染物、そして古典文学などにも使われ、日本人が美を表現する際に用いる日本伝統の色。四季の変化に富む日本には古来より深く暮らしに根付いた伝統的な色が多彩に存在し、それを現在まで使い続けています。その日本伝統の色にはそれぞれ名前の由来があり、植物や動物などの自然の物、染物や陶芸などの身の回りの物、さらに人物など、さまざまな由来を基にして名前が付けられています。
その伝統的な色を由来とともに色一覧のアプリとして整理しました。
