How to install Grainfather Community APK on Android phone or tablet?

4 ★Lots of negative reviews here however I have used both old and new apps and find the new Grainfather Community app to be much better. It isn't perfect and I've had minor issues with retrieving a couple of newly designed recipes however a reinstall has fixed any problems immediately. It would be handy however to be able to input a temperature for hopstands as this currently has to be set manually after starting the hopstand timer. Otherwise my experience of using the Community app are positive.
1 ★This is for the new update only, previous versions work fine. Spent 20 minutes trying to connect via Bluetooth with Huawei P30 Pro, resetting networks, reinstalling the app and I've come to the conclusion it doesn't work. Connects straight away on Galaxy S8. All I wanted to do was boil with power control, but you can no longer skip to step, so it's fiddly. Finally get to the boil stage and the power control doesn't even work, even though I've confirmed I turned it on.
1 ★New UI is broke things! With the latest version 4.0.10, the refractometer calculator is completely unusable. It hangs or outright crashes. This is one of my most used calculators. EDIT: Stuck in manual mode. I can't get a session started. I start a session and nothing happens. No steps or timers offered. Just connection to the controller showing temperature and access to heat and pump. There is NO instructions on how to use the new app. Will muddle through on brew day but complete FAIL!
3 ★Great to see a new update but the app is really slow. I paired with the Grainfather once and now it constantly looks for a connection even if I don't want to connect to the Grainfather itself. Constant icon at the in the drop down menu that can't be swiped away. Have to restart the phone to get rid of it. Samsung J5
1 ★Is there anyway we can revert to the previous version? The Bluetooth connection keeps dropping off you walk more than a couple of meters away, then doesn't always reconnect properly. Then it 'forgets' your brewing session which makes the app useless (the reminders to drop hops in, switch things in etc was what made the app really useful). I loved my connect before, now i may as well use my old controller. Please, please, please fix.
4 ★Experienced a login issue with the app. Posted a review here and developer responded right away. A couple messages and day later, they sorted out the issue on their end. I can get in now and look forward to trying the app and getting started using my new GF (after 20+ years all-grain brewing on a home made system) Can't really comment on app use yet, but I will say the response to my issue was superb. I'd suggest contacting them if you're having an app issue. Superb and friendly service. Cheers!
3 ★App is improving but has issues with syncing recipes and sessions. When I open the app it sticks on a syncing dialog indefinitely and doesn't sync new recipes consistently. Most recently I created a recipe on a desktop browser and then after eventually getting past the sync dialog, the new recipe hasn't synced and won't sync when I try to refresh
4 ★Sometimes it changes the AA in the recipe back to the standard for a hop type which is a little annoying. It searches all times for a Bluetooth connection even the recipe is done ... otherwise great app! would be very happy if there would be like a print out version of the brewing protocol with all the notes and changes.
1 ★give the people the option to use the old version. this one s###s. worse version so far. paid for a grainfather. don't need your ads and the whole community while I am trying to brew. delay timer did not work. then it locked up my controller and will not heat. the only way to get it to heat was uninstall the app. i might as well not bought the connect.
3 ★app was great with an iPhone. got an android phone and everytime i use this app once i get to the hop additions it starts to lose Bluetooth connectivity. very frustrated that when i need this app the most in my brewday it consistently fails. Can't say enough about the grainfather itself but this app needs some love desperately. Oct.9/19 using updated app same problem with Bluetooth
1 ★This app sucks. Bring back the old one. When it's not dropping the session, you can't skip to a specific stage, or your equipment settings no longer apply, the boil timer doesn't start when the boil temp is reached, when it transfers from imperial u.s. to metric, the values are horrendously wrong (today's session, I was supposed to sparge with 58 litres!) Horrible app right now.
1 ★Update has broken high temperature mashing. App now suddenly won't allow mash over 80 degrees C. Please fix - not clear why app has to nanny my choice of mash temps. Further update. Current version also frequently restarts the mash after 5 mins or so. After pressing set to add grain and start mash, the timer counts down and then after 4-5 mins after it has regained my manually tweaked target temperature of 83, it beeps and then tells me again to press set and start the mash. Timer resets...
