Description

The MMGuardian Parental Control app for the parent's phone is used to manage and monitor the MMGuardian Child App installed on a teen's or pre-teen's Android or iPhone directly from the parent's phone. Similar to mspy, it receives alerts when text messages, certain social media chat messages or web searches are indicative of drugs, sexting, cyberbullying, child grooming, violence, suicidal thoughts and more. But it is way better than mspy due to its high accuracy on identifying safety risks using AI. With the MMGuardian Parental Control Child app installed to your child's Android phone, you will be able to monitor and block: • SMS text messages • Web browsing activity • Application usage • To whom voice calls are made* Social Media Chat Monitoring In addition to normal SMS texts, chat messages from Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok and Discord are reported. Also, alerts will be sent if the content in a chat message appears to relate to one of nine special alert categories including sexting, cyberbullying and suicidal thoughts. The benefits of using MMGuardian Parental Control when your child has an Android phone include: • Alerting you when text messages or web searches are indicative of sexting, cyberbullying, suicidal thoughts and more. • Alerting you when pictures on your child's phone, or sent in an MMS message, are of an adult nature or indicative of sexting. • Comprehensive reports covering: - SMS and selected social media app text messages. - Usage of applications - Web browsing using the Chrome browser - Voice Calls* • Locate your child's phone, on a map. • Lock or Unlock the child's phone with a simple button press • Set or edit configurations for: - Screen time limits: set up bed time and school times to control screen time. - Application control: block or set up usage limits for apps and games. - SMS block and Call block*: block calls and texts with undesirable contacts. - Scheduled locate: set times to automatically locate the phone. - Web Filter: block browsing of undesired sites in Chrome, Firefox and other leading browsers, using easy age-based settings or customized rules. You will need to install and register the MMGuardian App For Child Phone app on your child's Android phone. The child phone can be linked to the parent phone app only when both are registered using the same email address and password. Both your phone and your child's phone should have network data capability, as the app uses data to send and receive configuration commands, reports and alerts. You may purchase subscriptions or licenses to apply to the MMGuardian Parental Control app installed on your child's Android phone from within this Parent App, to avoid having to add payment credentials (credit cards etc) to your child's Google Play account. After the free 14 day trial period of the app on the child's phone has ended, unless the child phone app is licensed or has an ongoing subscription, the functions in the Parent App that relate to premium functions on the child's app will be disabled. However you can still use MMGuardian to locate, or to lock or unlock your child's Android phone remotely. Single phone subscriptions are available at USD $3.99 monthly or USD $34.99 annually, and a 5 Year License is available for USD $79.99. Family plans covering up to 5 devices are available at twice the single phone price. Unlike mspy and other spying apps, we highly encourage parents to discuss the reasons to use a parent control app with their children, to help protect them from potential risks of their own actions and the actions of others, such as excessive screen time, cyberbullying and sexting.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

2 ★Havent found a better app yet but leaves a lot to be desired. Best part is being able to see my texts from my app. I always find the time of day and amount of time was spent using apps. Biggest downfall is its easy to disable. I set a lock so it cant be used certain hours of the night. All you have to is tab the right button to see all apps running, close it and boom your child can use the app without an issue. Overall not happy but as of right now its the best app I can find at the moment..
1 ★I really liked the app at first. Now the mmguardian app doesn't work for group messages or pictures. Was told to quit using it as they are aware of the bug and to use the phones default messaging app which is Google. Now I don't any of the texts my child sends and the ones she receives repeat about 10 times. I have continued to send emails to support over the last 2.5 months, always the response is we're working on it, turn off and back on permissions, or update app. None ever work.
4 ★I previously left a 1 star review because the app stopped working after 4 years and when I contacted support, no one got back to me... I then used another parent app (that I wasn't entirely happy with) for the past year and when the subscription was up, I decided to give MMGuardian another chance. After some initial issues (the same ones that drove to me to switch in the first place), support finally helped me fix them and get the app working again. They lose 1 star for the last year of headache
3 ★Well just kind of been trying to get familiar with the app. There are some features that I'm not sure if it's not working properly or I don't have it setup correctly, like the location tracking. I set a schedule for everyday and to update every 5 minutes but when I go to look at the history sometimes there's large gaps in the tracking time. I like that it catches inappropriate picture and I've found that it's sensitive which I like, also the text and call monitoring seems to be working good.
5 ★The app is really glitchy. It messes up my daughters phone, it doesnt lock the phone when it is suppose to. I really liked this app. It was simple and easy to work with. Now im going to have to look around for another app thats similar with less issues and that actually works. UPDATE** Sent email on issues on app and it did take quite a while for a response. But im glad to say that after the recent update there has been improvements. My daughters phone now locks when its suppose to. Thank you!
4 ★I have been using this for awhile. Child is now getting around MMGuadian by restarting his phone in Safe Mode. MMGuardian does not had a working safe mode lock for newer Samsungs. I disabled the volume down button (super glue) and added an app to control the volume. Favorite feature: alarm phone. It makes a loud annoying sound on the child's phone even when the volume is off. This is great for when Child doesn't respond to texts or calls when you need to get ahold of them.
2 ★I've had this app for a while now & my son continues to find easy ways to bypass the restrictions and use blocked apps. Also, the phone lock feature does not allow texts to be sent. What if there's an emergency where he can't call? Also, "their" AWFUL messaging app has to be used to monitor texts. Msgs don't show up right (especially w/ groups), some don't go through & some phones don't get the new msg alerts. I'm looking 4 a better app...I can't keep paying 4 something not meeting my needs.
1 ★They did updates that ruin most of the experience. You used to be able to see the telephone calls who calls what time especially if they're in your contacts you would also be able to see what word for word what was in the text messages... Used to be able to see websites and stuff that were on the phone but now everything needs to be downloaded on top of that it has to be connected to a wire to a Windows PC which is ridiculous everything was coming in fine remotely without downloading
4 ★It worked well. But recently I realized that apps in a group disappeared from being blocked. I have to add them in a group again and again, and they keep disappearing every time I close and open the app. UPDATE: I reinstalled both MMG apps, on my phone and child's phone. And after adding some apps that i want to restict in a group everything seems working well. The feedback from MMG Support was very responsive and helpful. I'll keep using this app and would definitely recommend it.
5 ★I left the message view feature inactive to maintain some privacy. App is absolutely awesome. Allows to set times for specific apps to be active/inactive. Notifies you if correct password was entered on child's phone. Breaks down app usage. Has internet filter. I have referred this app to several other parents having issues with their child's phone usage. I love this app!
5 ★This app does everything we were looking for. It can be pretty sensitive and flags pretty much every picture that isn't a selfie as inappropriate at the beginning, but I'd rather be alerted to something that turns out to be nothing than miss something important. I like that the kids can have their privacy when they need it and we still get alerted to key words that are being sent or searched and can Iimit categories on the internet.
1 ★This app is so frustrating and there is absolutely no support at all! At first it seems to be packed with every great feature imaginable. But on the child phone it's basically all or nothing. There is a contract admin feature so the child can contact the parent when the phone is locked. It doesn't work. Specific apps I left unlocked we're locked. Multiple support emails went unanswered. Useless! We switched to mobicip.
