What's new in version V1-240020
Thank you for using File Manager. Here's what we've done in the new version:
1. Fixed some known bugs. 2. Boosted overall performance.
How to install File Manager APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download File Manager APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
Go to your phone Settings page
Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
Check the Unknown Sources box
Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.mi.android.globalFileexplorer-vV1-240020-ApkClean.apk)
Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Hi This is a good app, but I need to raise some security issues. In the app description, it is mentioned that no data is shared with the third party, but i have found that it is sharing information with Facebook. Sharing data: total 29 items starting from GPS coordinates, os type, network conne tion type, city, birthday, state, os build number and total 29 items. It bad that Google does not check code thoroughly. 😕
5 ★From the outset it's a breeze to understand and to simple to use. There's so many apps of this type, so the only flaw, if forced to give balanced view, is that your app icon is a bit plain and needs a little tweak, a bit of bling, something that helps get attention. Individuality is key, at present it looks just like the Windows default icon for a file in File Explorer. Other than that I freakin love this app, so keep up the awesome work and enjoy the weekend when it gets to your turn.
3 ★Overall, a good experience. There's a bug though. Some folders when opened, gets opened from scrolled down view, like in the middle. I have to scroll up for some folders. Also, it would be great if you could add tabs like in Mix file explorer. Also, to copy or move a file, you have to select the destination from the first, like press copy<(shows internal or external storage)
1 ★Terrible! Not inly it built in your phone - so you can't delete it! But it has ads. Like, built in app has ads??? What? I didn't use it ever, because for what? But I tried to move the folder with screenshots from my phone's memory to a new sd card and...well...it's gone. Like completely! Not in the internal storage, where it was with 1000 + screenshots! Not on the SD card. Better to do it with computer. And I even can't delete that "file manager" if you can call it that way.
1 ★Can't even handle multi tasking. Clunky, super slow, not much features, inconvenient UI and button functions, annoying to navigate between different storages. Unable to set default app to open certain file type. Just bad and annoying to navigate. *Edit: It's much worse. Really slow file read. Constantly saying "Can't move files" without telling me why, when clearly I still have enough free storage left. Transferring files is much worse between the device and external USB drive.
4 ★Absolute diamond 💎. I recommend it to everyone! However, I had to remove one star when I realized a major issue with old android devices (android 4). In the remote LAN mode, the menu for send, copy, move...does not appear when you select a file so I cannot transfer it from my computer to my android. Also, I have to edit the address for the LAN folder almost every week to secure the connection.
2 ★The interface is okay for me. Below are some of the issues needs to be fixed: 1 . This came as a default file manager in my redmi note phone. i dont understand why default app is showing Ads?? 2. Renaming file takes too long to process 3. When copying/moving files it doesn't take me back to the same folder instead it goes way back to the root folder(menu) 4. After playing a video from the folder it fails to direct me back to the same folder.
4 ★It's a very good app. The only problem I have with it is not being able to properly search files containing underscores in the file naming system. It fails to recognise the words in-between the underscores and will only pick the files when the underscores are inserted and the full name(s) of the file typed. Apart from this, it is a well thought-out file manager.
3 ★Best app out their with one, very stupid flaw. This app is minimal, has all the basic functions for a file manager, but somehow doesn't have its own image viewer which is highly frustrating. One has to click on image to view it (on a different image viewing app), then go back and select another image to view, instead of just swiping left or right. Please fix this minor issue, which ruins the experience of an otherwise wonderful file manager app.
2 ★Somewhat decent app, but compared to other file managers, this one takes a collosal time to navigate. The feature that I did use intensely was the private files, as they contain some of my important stuff, and it was fairly easy to access. Unfortunately, my files stored there has already disappeared twice. I was lucky I did a backup on my cloud storage, otherwise those things are gone forever... I would not recommend this unless you find it easy to navigate and you don't encrypt files.
3 ★Good app. I just have a minor issue. I want an update wherein I have the option to keep the specific folder I access to remain open. Each time I open a note file it automatically switches to my preferred third party app then always automatically shuts my notes folder (security feature?). It's not really hard to navigate back to my notes folder but when I'm making quick edits of several note files then get kicked out to the starting default folders, it gets annoyingly tedious to navigate back.
1 ★Although everything seems to be good, there are some major issues that need to be fix. Firstly, when I switch from another app to the file manager app for a few seconds, the file manager restarts and I lose my previous location, which can be very frustrating. Secondly, sometimes the music plays from the music player, while other times it opens from the file manager, and I need to choose a default option. I am hoping that these issues will be resolved soon. Thanks you.
