Toko buku digital ini dimiliki dan dikelola oleh UNIMED Press Medan menggunakan teknologi Buqu, sebuah platform dan ekosistem terdepan dari penerbitan dan toko buku digital. Aplikasi UNIMED Bookstore ini dapat diunduh dan dipakai gratis untuk siapa saja!Salah satu keunggulan yang utama dari aplikasi berbasis teknologi Buqu ini adalah jaringan buku-buku universitas (University Books Network), yang mengumpulkan semua buku-buku dari berbagai universitas yang ada di Indonesia dan luar negeri sehingga dapat dengan mudah diakses oleh semua mahasiswa dan lingkungan universitas. Hal ini memperkecil kesenjangan atau kesulitan akses buku-buku dari universitas lain sebagai bahan referensi mahasiswa.
