Oorspronkelijk was het een contactrubriek in treinglossy Rails. Reizigers die een persoon na een ontmoeting in de trein graag nog een keer wilden zien, konden een oproepje in het maandblad plaatsen. Hartkloppingen was met afstand de populairste rubriek in Rails, dat in 2008 werd opgeheven. Op veler verzoek heeft NS besloten Hartkloppingen nieuw leven in te blazen op internet.
Hoe werkt het?
Via Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/nederlandsespoorwegen) en blogplatform Tumblr (http://nshartkloppingen.tumblr.com) kan iedereen zijn of haar hartklopping plaatsen. Mensen die zich aangesproken voelen, kunnen een reactie sturen naar hartkloppingen@ns.nl. NS bundelt de reacties en stuurt ze door naar de persoon die de oproep heeft geplaatst.
Hoe kan ik Hartkloppingen zien?
Via deze applicatie en op http://nshartkloppingen.tumblr.com zijn de actuele Hartkloppingen te vinden. Op de Facebookpagina van NS worden de mooiste uitgelicht. Metro plaatst daarnaast ook wekelijks een hartklopping!
