Buhari mobil uygulaması, bu alanda görülen eksikliğe ve ihtiyaca istinaden Mahmud Esad Coşan Eğitim Kültür Dostluk ve Yardımlaşma Vakfı tarafından geliştirilmiştir.Uygulama ile kullanıcıların hadislere kolay erişimi hedeflenmiş, bu nedenle basit bir arayüz tercih edilmiş, okunabilirlik ön planda tutulmuştur. Yine eserdeki bölüm yapısı aynen korunmuştur. Kullanıcıların, hadislere arama yaparak ve bölüm başlıkları altından ulaşabilmeleri sağlanmıştır.
Uygulamada, Abdullah Feyzi Kocaer tarafından hazırlanan Sahih-i Buhari Muhtasarı (Tecrid-i Sarih) eserinin içeriğinden istifade edilmiştir.
