LuxTrust Mobile – carry out your most sensitive online operations directly from your smartphone and without using any hard devices (such as the classic Token or a Scan).WHAT DOES LUXTRUST MOBILE DO?
LuxTrust Mobile allows you to:
- Securely access our partner websites (banks, e-government, …)
- Confirm and validate online financial transactions
- Sign documents electronically directly
- Perform various operations on guichet.lu
HOW TO ACTIVATE IT?
If you already are a LuxTrust customer and have your Token or Scan at hand, simply install it and follow the steps indicated in the app.
If you are not a LuxTrust client and you want to use the app, order your LuxTrust electronic identity on www.luxtrust.lu.
HOW TO USE IT?
LuxTrust has three main modes:
- App2App: Once set-up in your banking app, LuxTrust Mobile can automatically exchange with it so that you do not need to enter an OTP (one-time password). You just have to confirm or cancel the operation. Please check with your bank how to enable this feature.
- Scan the QR code (mosaic image) when connecting to a website using a desktop or tablet: You will select LuxTrust mobile instead of the Token for instance. You can then scan the QR code displayed after entering your User ID and Password. The app decrypts the image and generates the OTP (one-time password) you need to insert on the website.
- Receive a Push Notification when accessing to our partners’ website from a desktop, tablet or smartphone. Partners’ websites having this feature enabled will automatically send you a notification asking you to confirm or cancel the specific operation. You can also find it under “Pending transactions”.
OTHER FEATURES
You can activate your LuxTrust Mobile app on a second device (like a tablet) and enable TouchID or FaceID to unlock it, for more convenience.

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

5 ★Convenient way to authenticate. Seems to work every time. No glitches yet.
1 ★I try to pair my phone again but all I get is Error Code 77 and a phone number even though all credentials are correct. It worked fine before the reset. The app also forces its own keyboard on the user which doesn't even have a shift, only caps lock. The password restrictions are miserable. Especially the character limits, only 10 for the main password and only 16 for the app passcode.
2 ★The passwords are for some reason limited to 16 characters and cant include special characters. This alone is unacceptable for an app that literally secures all my money. In addition to that, you will wait 20 minutes each time to get an activation link per sms which is also ridiculous and the built in qr code scanner just simply doesnt work. I cannot understand how a government backed company can deliver such a low quality app. I feel like the Facebook authenticator is more secure than this.
2 ★I'm trying to use the app instead of the code generator but it doesn't work. I follow instruction after getting notification but once it's approved nothing happen with my login process. Then when I switch to scan mode, after scanning and entering code, the website return back to authentication mode selection.
5 ★Very efficient so far. Keep it that way.
1 ★Unable to activate the app for several weeks and when I finally got to activate it, the app keeps crashing... Please make it better, I used to use it quite often and liked it - before getting a new phone... :(((
1 ★An absolute horrendous process/app. No clear indication , apart from seemingly many dozens of manual (postage, business day contacting, physical visiting of offices, etc) steps to achieve to even activate the account... Vendors, i ask you whatever happened to sms codes to verify. This over complexified process is digital bureaucracy at it's worst.
1 ★The application is absolutely unusable, crashes just at start. And the helpdesk is absolutely incompetent. Even somebody clearly states that the mobile is not rooted, their answer is that the app does not work on rooted device. Shame and misery...
1 ★Doesn't work with Android 10 which you have known about since March 2019, and discovered this only because I had to call to activate. Poor service all-round considering BIL pushed an update for Android 10 last week.
1 ★The app works without problem on my Nokia device, but i tough I could replace my token with this app which is not the case. The app wants to take a picture of something that I cannot figure out what picture is that. What I expected was app that generates otp's, just like my token. Useless for me
5 ★Works flawlessly. I moved form an old to a new android phone without a problem. (I used the easiest way to activate the new with the old phone.)
4 ★my first log in worked. i gave 4 stars because I think the 1.9 current avg is not quite fair. would be great though if one could use this token without the image scan since that way I dont know how to use it right from my mobile phone.. only in that case from a laptop/ computer.
