Description

The Rand McNally Wi-Fi® Backup Camera works with your Android Smartphone to give a full-screen picture of what’s behind your vehicle. There’s no need for an extra dashboard screen; just download the camera app on your smart phone, install the camera, and go. Features include:
· High-quality digital video
· Video that is visible at night or in low light
· Easier installation than hard-wired cameras

The camera attaches simply via the license plate bracket. A Wi-Fi transmitter with antenna sends the image to the device screen via the app. The image shows automatically on the app screen once the Wi-Fi connection is established.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★when i try to find the camera yhe app says invalid password. no way to find the password much less manually enter one. WTH not happy.
1 ★camera never connects to the app
5 ★This serves its purpose
5 ★It connected to your car
1 ★Don't work
5 ★Rand McNally Wiafi
3 ★I have the camera unit wired to reverse connection. About the App. Slow to react to wifi signal. Refresh very slow & not very intuitive. No way to change wifi SSID. No way to override WiFi priority to avoid stronger signal. Had to d/l WiFi priority app seperately. Hopefully the App will get better in future, but for now it is just a 3.
5 ★Haven't even used it yet but I'll say this. The camera is only going toload once WiFi is established which isnt always instant. With currentconsumer tech, a wired connection is the only way to ensure the video popsup on your screen promptly every time. I'm thinking about using an ardunioboard that waits for an input from the reverse lights and then creating aflow on the automate app that opens the camera app.. we'll see if I can getit to work
1 ★Wifi transmitter doesn't work more than it does work. Each time I try to use the camera it's a roll of the dice if it will work or not. Most of the time, its not
2 ★App is glitchy. Never know if it will work or not
4 ★Rear view camera
4 ★Works pretty good!
