Canon Camera Connect is an application to transfer images shot with compatible Canon cameras to smartphone/tablet.By connecting to a camera with Wi-Fi (direct connection or via wireless router), this application provides the following features:
・Transfer and save camera images to a smartphone.
・Remote shoot with live view imaging of the camera from a smartphone.
・Connect with Canon's various services.
This application also provides the following features for compatible cameras.
・Acquire location information from a smartphone and add it to the images on the camera.
・Switch to a Wi-Fi connection from pairing status with a Bluetooth enabled camera (or from touch operation with an NFC enabled camera)
・Remote release of the camera shutter with a Bluetooth connection.

For Bluetooth connection, the camera needs to have a Bluetooth function, and your Android device needs to have Bluetooth 4.0 or later (supports Bluetooth Low energy technology) and the OS needs to be Android 5.0 or later.

5 ★Using a Canon T7 with a pixel 2. I've had no issues connecting my phone to the camera and using the various functions. It's a great way to control the camera remotely during photoshoots, then transferring those files to my phone and sharing on social media. Batteries on both the phone and camera will drain quickly while connected so keep that in mind.
1 ★Something's wrong with the application. It isn't getting connected to the camera. Keeps showing that camera firmware has to be updated, when actually the camera is on new firmware. Please correct it as early as possible Update : 07.01.2021. Hi Team Canon! Have you paid any attention to the recent reviews wherein the customers have been complaining about the connectivity issues? Please wake up, it is 2021 and we need the wonderful NFC back to its business.Don't be lazy!
1 ★Impossible to connect with NFC. I have a hard time connecting with Wi-fi almost every single time. I have a higher chance to connect if I clear the settings which is a huge pain in the..., extremely time consuming and annoying.
3 ★A bit rough to set up, but once sone it works well for what it is... Remote device is not the best... As it has a lot of lag in my 250D... The fact you cannot import raw is a pain... Android device have lighroom which is something a consequent part of photographer have, or might get interested into, and it read raws... If I had to put raw with my computer then... Well I should just do my edit on my computer. Or just get along with jpeg...
3 ★At first it was very difficult to connect the camera to the phone. But when I change the name of my phone it worked. But I dont know will it be this last longer or not. 3 stars first..
2 ★If you have the odd spare hour to waste connecting, it's fine, unfortunately even after connecting and using your likely have to repeat the process. As for Bluetooth . I have Never got it topair successfully on Canon RP, 6D or 750D. Really a waste of time.
1 ★Used to work well- now I can never get my camera to connect to my phone. It just never recognizes it. I expect more from such a large company. My 80d doesn't have bluetooth so that's not an option- meaning they just leave the rest of us hanging.

Do not recommend ! I tried contacting Canon thru the posted email address...not a working site. Aggravating....
1 ★Well, this is a bummer. The app used to work fairly well, but now only fails. I've tried re-installing, clearing settings, etc. Nothing works. I get a dialog to choose a device which I haven't seen before. Then I get connection successful, following by a message that connection was cancelled.

4 ★I have used this with 3 different compatible cameras. Works great...when it works. When it doesn't it usually is easy to fix, if the app told you the issue which it seems most of the time it is very vague.
1 ★I thought I was going crazy because I couldn't connect the camera as before, now I'm reading all the comments and glad I'm not alone. What I don't see is cannon replying to anybody, so they're not even reading the bad reviews. Read one that says to turn off your VPN, I searched for this and found it, but it doesn't give me the option to turn on/off. Uuggg Now I feel I have an useless camera
