Download ECOVACS APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.ecovacs.ecosphere.intl-v1.4.9-ApkClean.apk)
- Tap Install when prompted, the APK file you downloaded will be installed on your device.

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).

1 ★Very sloppy software! Looks like they are already NOT supporting R95 deebo anymore, since the interface is still the old interface compared to the pics here. Map recovery failure every other day! R95 gets lost and stuck in power state, have to restart to restore it. Not able to save virtual walls, you have to set them manually every time! Looks like time to trash it and go w/ US-based company like Neato. !
1 ★App Permissions are intrusive and unnecessary. I like the vacuum but I refuse to put this app on my phone. The permissions detailed at the Google Play Store do not match the apps request. It wants to: 1.Allow Ecovacs to make and manage phone calls. 2. Access PHOTOS, MEDIA, & files on my device. That has gone too far. Sorry, no, my vacuum does not need to manage my phone calls, nor go through my photos or media.
3 ★Schedules ok so it gets 3stars. No android notifications, so you'll never know about malfunctions and problems unless you open the app or find the vacuum. Not having notifications is just lazy.
3 ★The app used to work better. Now, my Deebot 907 is no longer displaying the vacuum's movements in real time. That was half the fun. It works well on my wife's iPhone but not my Note 8. Please fix with subsequent updates.
1 ★I spent way to much time trying to get this app to work and finally reached out to customer support and they said the app doesn't work with "iPhone X, Google Smart Phones or Nokia 7P and Huawei P20". Why not put that at the top of the support page and Google App Store?
3 ★A little frustrating, app is buggy at times, can't assign area names nor adj the area size (2 rooms is 1 or 1 room is 2 areas). When u zoom in to select areas to vac, check circles are not selectable. Takes forever to load the map whiling cleaning or switch between app modes. NO NOTIFICATIONS, u got to be kidding, when stuck, done cleaning or anything unless u are looking at the app at the time of occurrence. When zooming in to manually select a custom area the buttons do not scale properly.
5 ★This app is awesome because I can control my vac and drive it over any spots it missed. I sell robotic vacuums, so I'm not naive like all of these negative reviews. Robots run on math and algorithms. They do NOT map your house. They will NEVER be 100% perfect. They WILL miss spots. That's why the remote control is a perfect compliment to it. Robotics save time. Stop being even lazier and be happy cleaning is cut down. Nice job on the application. Works great!
4 ★really good app. integration with assistant could go still one bit further by being able to specify the area to be cleaned, and by being able to define and name areas yourself. i would like to be able to say: ok Google, clean kitchen area, when i spill some sugar while baking ^^
2 ★This app is in need of some serious work. Room identification didn't work, so cleaning specific rooms require you to manually create a box on the floorplan which is very time consuming. The app is also very slow to respond and requires killing the background version if you have already had it open and switched away to do something else. I do like the fact that i can create geo fences around things i don't want the vacuum to clean.
3 ★I loved my deebot despite some pretty bad bugs such as getting confused and destroying it's map. The new version seems to be better about this BUT right after the update my Deebot started freezing up in the same area and needed to be turned off often, after the map was cleared it worked for awhile but now it's doing it again. Always in the same area of the kitchen. Definitely a bug in the firmware.
2 ★The idea's great but I can't connect the phone to my new OZMO610. My router's dual on 2.4&5 (2.4's active). I emailed the local rep according to the email address in the app and apparently it's incorrect! Please contact me ASAP
1 ★Horrible App. Inconsistent and unreliable. The app would lose the map constantly, so developers made new app. Now neither app will work on my android devices. Total shame. The few times the app/vacuum worked correctly, it was a 5*. But it never worked more than 2 or 3 days without having to troubleshoot and remap my entire house. I bought this vacuum over the Roomba for the mapping technology and the ability to vacuum certain areas and not the entire home. Without the map and app, none of these features work. Will be returning to Costco. Developers need to communicate with customers better. If I could have spoken to an actual person and told the app and problems were being corrected, I may have waited. Email support sends generic messages.
