THE iMedAlert APP CAN BE USED TO:
- Activate a distress alarm/alert: If you are trapped or alone and unable to shout or speak, the app allows you to attract the attention of passersby or emergency personnel by sounding an alarm at regular intervals.
- Send an emergency SMS: If you are in an emergency situation you may not have the time or not be able to type an SMS. The app allows you to quickly send a personalized emergency SMS to one or more predefined contacts. Messages and emergency contacts are set up in advance in the app's user preferences.
- Send an emergency email: If you are in an emergency situation you may not have the time or not be able to type and send emails. The app allows you to send a personalized emergency email to one or more predefined emergency contacts. Emails can be set to include all the information you have entered in the app such as your personal information, blood type, medical history, and allergy information. This will help emergency personnel treat you better. Emails and emergency contacts are set up in advance in the app's user preferences.
- Send location information: If you are in an emergency situation and don't know where you are, the app can send your location information for you. SMS and email messages can be set to include location information.

1 ★Allergies can be saved, after typing the allergy name, hit enter on your keyboard. The app can't pull existing contact information from your ICE contact group, which is baffling. The SMS feature links only to the stock SMS app, not a third party app if you happen to use one. No lock screen widget or access, making this app completely useless. The input fields for medical information are just generic text boxes making formatting/reading painful.
1 ★Will not save allergies, the is no "enter" button, as some reviews claim there is. Would be happy to send screen shot. Will save med list by selecting "save", (again, no "Enter" button) but does not work in Algeries. App is useless with out the algery section working. I went to web site for support or FAQ, but NO support available. I uninstalled it. Using Sony Xperia with Android 4.4.4 Fix the Allergy section, and I would use it and give it 5 stars. There is not even any place to leave feedback non publ
1 ★Greetings! I downloaded your emergency information application to my android, Samsung galaxy s5. I believe this will be very helpful to me, except for one thing. I keep my phone locked. Therefore, no emt, cop, firefighter, doctor, etc. will be able to access the information. Would you please update the software, with an icon for the lock screen that someone can push, which will open the application and display the information? Thanks for your time.
