Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★So much bugs, fire these dumb devs and hire some high schoolers. The high schoolers will do 100x better. This app sucks.
4 ★Helps
1 ★I love the Queens Public Library but this app is lousy. FILTERS DON'T WORK! C'mon, please fully test apps BEFORE rolling out.
1 ★9/04/2024 Update to below review:. It is now 3 months since my last review. Contacted tech support about this app. They " claimed " they would have the search function fixed " soon". I guess they don't know the concept . THE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED!!!!! Supposedly app was updated. I never had a problem until the " fix" was completed. When I try to filter search results to years, nothing happens. It just highlights "years" word. Will not filter. Terrible,!
2 ★This app is easier to use and less janky than the mobile website, which may be reason enough to download and keep it. But if you're limited on space, it has no offline functionality whatsoever and no push notifications for things like checking when your materials are due. Other than few small features like being able to pull up your library card barcode for scanning (I never tested if tapping works like physical cards), there isn't a major reason to just stick with the mobile website anyway.
1 ★It's not giving me any information on my account. I missed a pickup of a request because it didn't show up in my records.
1 ★Haven't been able to log in, I open app it says logging in and just stays like that
1 ★2nd day, I am unable to log into the app.
5 ★I love my Queens Borough Library, I love QPL Central Library.
1 ★Please make it so that we can enable in-app push notifications that tell us when our checked-out books are about to be due before the due date (preferably customizable) and on the due date. And constant in-app push notification reminders when books are late. I feel like doing that would make the experience a lot better.
