Families in Palm Beach County and surrounding areas have been coming to St. Mary’s Medical Center for more than three generations.
When we started, St. Mary had only 50 beds. In 1978, we received Level II and III intensive care unit designations. In 1991, the Institute for Mental Health and the Children’s Hospital both opened. And in 2004, we installed our second helipad.
Today, St. Mary’s Medical Center is 464-bed hospital with some 2,400 employees and physicians, as well as 200 volunteers who share their time to make patients’ lives more comfortable. While we have grown over the years, what hasn’t changed is our unwavering dedication to patients and their families.
