2 ★Good idea for an app. 5 stars idea, I'd say. Though I think that in comparison to other apps $5 (CHF 5) to go ad free is too much, especially in regard that people who want to shop ecologically don't want to see commercial spam ads for unecological products all the time. So, I find the pricing slightly abusive. Also I found that most products I wanted to check with this app so far aren't in the database yet, which renders it more of a training tool (you make a habit of checking product details).
5 ★I really love code check. I can check ingredients easily by just scanning the code, make the results personal based on what elements and factors are important to me, like vegan or vegetarian options. I like also that they offer alternatives. And some of those articles are also a great read with some interesting information. Thumps up!! 👍🏾
3 ★First of all this is an excellent app! Really helps me when I'm shopping and need to know ingredients data right on the spot. There is also great explanation of ingredients in the app, BUT it really needs a search button, because this classification of products as it is now is useless. I can't find anything if I don't have the product to scan the barcode. Especially now when the website became useless, too. There also should be some sort of blocking the double (or +) upload of the same product.
2 ★Great idea, after installing I started browsing the groceries. I found Beef Burgers marked as vegetarian and fish fingers as vegan. I've feedback to try and help but if the food database grows there needs to be better consistency. Thinking caps on, I'm new to plant based ideas. But I will not have the confidence in the app after what I've seen.
4 ★Best independent app in this category. I consider buying ad free if I keep using it. Please add package rating and/or info on plasticiser (Weichmacher) in products and their packaging. Plasticisers from packaging can be attested in food, so it's important to choose products without them. Could also warn if a product is "overpacked" in plastic packaging. Would be cool if I could choose warnings for certain things like pig/cattle ingredients and things I'm allergic to (custom warnings).
5 ★I really love being able to check the products I own and the ones I buy and make better choices regarding that . I really like how the ingredients are classified and the unsafe ones are highlighted since I am not very familiar with the terminology . I also find it great that you can read detailed information on the ingredients .

1 ★Completely useless...I installed this app expecting to get some more info on the products I use. Unfortunately I'm stuck on endlessly loading tabs. The app crashed as soon as I tried to scan a product. Although allowing access to my Google info, location and camera, non of the functions are loading. I sincerely hope this is a problem with the build of the app that could be resolved in an update.
1 ★It's over the top ridiculous that I've to install this app on my computer & can't use the website to check the ingredients of products as before. It took work to take this out of the website. Now, I can't even search for products via name, I've to use a barcode/search randomly in the available categories. Edit: And still you are not answering to what I'm writing: You could have just let the code in to let ppl see it via web browser. That would not have taken any extra effort.
1 ★I found it to be utterly useless. It takes ages and heaps of negotiating around ads and create account here and there before you can actually scan something. Then, when you finally get to scan something it simply takes you to the company's website and you can ask them what their product contains or the product is not in the database at all. None of what I expected and what I was told to expect.
4 ★Great app - good for quickly lookly up whether food meets dietary requirements in the shop by scanning it's barcode. Obviously, if you have doubts you should check the ingredients list too, but this is a good indicator. Also is understandable that the app can't have every single item that ever existed but you can add missing products. Would love if the products section had a search button - then I could plan future shopping trips and recipes in advance
5 ★I highly recommend this app. I use it before every purchase and results show immediately. I also like that it shows alternative products to my intended one. With this app it is easy to make healthier and eco friendlier buying decisions. A great thank you to the developers and please continue to expand the range of articles and continue to improve this app to be compatible with future IT development.
