5 ★Dear developers! Thank you for such a useful application. I needed to scan the QR-code quickly, and i go to the play market and see it quickly download, since it doesn't weight much, and you can also send this QR-code to a friend there! There are also different topics ther. I recomend to everyone.
1 ★This app now shows ads OUTSIDE of the app when the phone is unlocked. I understand the need for ads INSIDE of a free app. Others have commented as well, and the developer responds incorrectly that their ads are shown inside that app. That's not the complaint. Our negative reviews are about the ads appearing when not using the app. So after a long-time user of an oherwise great app, I'll be uninstalling this now.
1 ★I advise DO NOT INSTALL. This application (Barcode Scanner by "The space team" at this writing) causes advertisements to be displayed in the Chrome browser immediately after unlocking the phone even when the app is not being used. In-app ads are one thing and expected in order to support development of useful free apps (which this was until now). But this kind of practice should result in a ban from the Google Play Store.
1 ★I had to change my review because the response they give is a lie. Recent update has MALWARE that makes an ad pop up on the lock screen, NOT WHEN USING THE APP! I had to delete over 20 recent apps before finding the culprit, wasting a lot of time and research. The app was really good before doing this, and by the way Fathom Realty is not getting my business either. I will remove the review and upgrade to a 4 or 5 when you remove the Malware. And don't bother with the generic reply.
1 ★Ads all the time, not just in app. I've used this app for years, but lately I started noticing full screen ads popping up every time I unlock my phone, even when I haven't been using this app recently . I see the publisher replying to other reviews mentioning this problem by saying their ads are only inside the app, but this is not true. Uninstalling.
5 ★I recently needed to scan a lot of QR codes and came across this app. I was surprised by the user-friendly minimalistic interface, even a child can handle it. The app is lightweight and won't waste space on your device. I did not notice any errors in my work, the application reads even the worst QR codes, so I recommend!
1 ★UPDATE 12/21/20 - Developer responded stating the ads are necessary to make the app free. Ads while using the app are understandable and expected. Ads that take over your screen while not using the app are suspicious. Just my opinion. USER BEWARE: App suddenly started popping random ads on my phone when unlocking device. Happens even when not using the app which is highly suspicious. Uninstalled and will no longer use.
1 ★If I had known that there would be full-screen ads posted in such a discreet fashion, I wouldn't have installed this app in the first place. Before they started this in mid-December or so, I liked the app. If the ads don't bother you, I would recommend it. Edit: I notice the app owners have responded to similar reviews saying they need ads as the app is free, which is understandable. However, the ads are NOT within the app, as they claim--they pop up on the home screen when I unlock the phone.
5 ★hello, i would like to start by saying that this is a great qr code scanning app. there are many options, they are thought out for almost every situation, but a separate respect for the fact that you can encrypt some message in the qr code yourself, in general, I advise everyone to download!
5 ★Great app! My phone is not equipped with technology that can scan QR-CODE, so I had to look for an application. Found barcode scanner. Everything works fine, scans codes from 1 time and without any problems. There is also a cool function - this is the creation of a QR-CODE yourself.
1 ★Shows full screen ads randomly while not using the app. If you want adware, this is the app for you. Responding to the developer: I understand that your app is free, and that it needs ads to survive. I have no problem with ads as long as they are within the app I am using. The line was crossed once I started seeing ads on my home screen and on top of other apps.
5 ★An excellent handy app for scanning and creating QR codes, easy to use. Helped me to scan a lot of codes as well as create a couple myself and share with friends. There is a history of codes which is also very convenient. If you suddenly need a code that has already been created, you do not need to create it in a second round.
