دعای نُدبه از دعاهای مشهور با موضوع اِستِغاثه (زاری و کمک‌خواستن) از امام زمان(عج) و تأسف خوردن بر غیبت آن حضرت است.این دعا را اولین بار محمد بن جعفر مشهدی در کتاب المزار الکبیر نقل کرده و سپس سید ابن طاووس در کتاب اقبال الاعمال آن را به امام صادق(ع) نسبت داده و خواندنش را مستحب دانسته است. خواندن دعای ندبه را در عید فطر، عید قربان، عید غدیر و روز جمعه مستحب دانسته‌اند.
دعای ندبه شامل حمد و ثنای الهی و درود بر پیامبر(ص) و آل او، حکمت برگزیده شدن انبیاء و اولیاء و مهمترین فراز زندگی هر یک از پیامبران اولوالعزم، خلافت حضرت علی(ع) و بیان قسمتی از فضایل آن حضرت، بی‌وفایی و شقاوتمندی دشمنان دین، استغاثه و اظهار شوق نسبت به آخرین بازمانده معصوم خاندان رسالت، درخواست تعجیل فرج و روی کار آمدن دولت حق، از بین رفتن باطل و محکم شدن پیوند با امام زمان(عج) است.
