Sevgili Meslektaşlarımız,2020 Ulusal Oftalmoloji Kongresi ve 4. Canlı Cerrahi Sempozyumu Bileşik Toplantısı, 9-13 Aralık 2020 tarihleri arasında sanal olarak yapılacaktır. Derneğimizin en büyük bilimsel aktivitesi olan bu toplantıya sizleri Türk Oftalmoloji Derneği Merkez Yönetim Kurulu ve Organizasyon Komitesi adına davet etmekten onur duyuyorum.
En başta gelen işlevi mezuniyet sonrası eğitime katkı vermek olan derneğimiz, bu yıl da ülkemizde ve dünya çapında yaşanan korkunç şartlara karşın ulusal kongresine büyük bir önem vermekte ve heyecanla hazırlanmaktadır. Kongre programımız gerek eğitim birimlerinin gerek de ulusal kongre organizasyon komitesinin düzenlediği toplantılarla zenginleştirilmiş tam anlamıyla bir kez daha bilimsel bir şölene dönüştürülmüştür.
Yıllardır gerek bilimsel alanındaki kalitesi gerek de organizasyonel düzeni ile siz değerli meslektaşlarımızın takdirlerini kazanan, uluslar arası popüler toplantılardan eksiği olmadığı sürekli olarak ifade edilen kongremizin artık uluslar arası katılımlarla bir çekim merkezi haline gelmesi en başta gelen hedeflerimizden biri idi. Ancak içinde bulunduğumuz dönemin özel şartları planladığımız hedeften bu yıllığına olsa da bizleri uzaklaştırmıştır. Ancak hedefimize ulaşmak için bir sonraki yıldan itibaren kaldığımız yerden devam edeceğimiz konusundaki kararlılığımızı ifade etmek istiyorum.
